Join The Book Fairies this week as we celebrate poetry! It’s World Poetry Day on March 21st but why stop at one day?
Hide poetry books in your favourite spots or use #BookFairyPoetry to share a photo of (or a quote from) your favourite poem between the 21st and 24th of March and show us what you're reading... Or share your own poem, if you are a poet yourself 📃
We can't wait to see what you will be reading and hiding 😊
I really feel uncomfortable sharing this, but I think it’s the easiest way to communicate what’s going on.
On Monday morning, after finally ending a marathon of non stop grinding for over a month, catching no more than 4 hours of sleep often, I started to feel a lot of pain in my chest. To be quite honest I got really scared for a moment, but luckily after some time the pain started to subdue a bit so I could get my shit together. Usually I just sweat ‘being sick’ off and get on with my day, but by the afternoon I knew something was really wrong. I’ve gotten checked up in the meantime and luckily all worst case scenarios have been cancelled out, but I’ve been thoroughly warned that I’m not far from a heart attack if I keep pushing forward this way. And as much as I hate to admit it, I really feel that way too at the moment.
For amost 5 years I have been struggling to balance running @oldrulestattoo, tattooing full time, drawing for all these tattoos, be a decent husband and father, keep all the administration in check, try to keep up with social media, financial stress... always putting my health and rest aside to try and get things done. And even though some people (especially my wife) have been telling me this for a long time, my body finally gave me the wake up call. And now I have to admit to @_____sanne_ that she’s always right 😅
So, for myself and my family’s sake I need to slow down, right now.
If you contacted me for a tattoo I’m afraid I will have to make you wait a little longer for a reply. If you have an appointment set with me, I might be asking you to move your appointment. I really hate to do this, but I really need to take care of my health right now. I hope to contact everyone that I would like to move around by this weekend. If you don’t get an e-mail from me nothing changes for your appointment.
Thanks for understanding 🖤
Fairytale buildings in Leuven 🏰

Leuven (Louvain in french) is the capital of the province of Flemish Brabant. It is located about 25 kilometres east of Brussels. The most impressive building is the town hall of Leuven. The construction started in 1439 and is built in Gothic style with four corner turrets, two ridge turrets and a balustrade around the building. There are a few hundred statues in the many niches around the building and around the turrets. Some statues represent biblical figures, other statues scholars, eminent citizens, artists, judges, dukes of Brabant. There is even an image of Napoleon and one of the Belgian kings.
