I’ve heard hundreds, probably thousands of messages, in church, conferences and worship experiences. In a handful of those experiences the speaker used the term “thin space.” Each time I heard the term I was emotionally moved as I thought about its beautiful description.
The term “thin space” comes from a Celtic Christian belief of a place where the space between heaven and earth becomes thin. In this “thin space” we are able to sense and experience the presence of God more closely.
Many people describe a similar moment just before losing their loved ones. The person speaks of walking towards a light or seeing those who have passed on before them. Listening to these beautiful stories over and over through 25 years of pastoring has led to me absolutely believe there are such spaces.
I’m not certain if it’s a physical space between heaven and earth. But I’m sure there is a place when we are so completely surrendered to God’s purpose for our lives, we are captured in that moment of spiritual abandon.
I believe Jesus was in this “thin space” when He spoke these words before being drug away to his brutal death, “Father, if you will, please don’t make me suffer by having me drink from this cup. But do what you want, and not what I want.” Luke 22:42. He was completely abandoned to the Father’s will.
Surrender isn’t easy. For me, the thin space is...
• Courage in the face of overwhelming odds. • Doing the next right thing, even when I know it will cost me. • Trusting my instinct to know when to walk away. • Trusting my heart to know it’s okay to dream again. • Watching my kids thrive in their purpose. • Listening to our Graysen laugh.
Regret, disappointment and loss may be stopping you from believing. Trust me, there is a “thin space” created especially for you to experience the sweet presence of heaven on earth. Rise and find 💕
I passed! In addition to an executive coach, I now am certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners (the same board that certifies doctors) as a health & wellness coach. There are many health & wellness coaches, but few in the country certified by this medical examiners board. I am excited to add this to the work I do with clients. So many of the leaders I work with are overwhelmed and over-stressed, neglecting their health & personal well-being. I hope to help people find a bit more balance and realize that your health is your real wealth... #powerpresence#healthandwellness#coaching#worklifebalance#healthbeforeeverything#leadershipcoaching#selfcarecoach#maximizeyourimpact

Q: When you sweep the floors, are you leading or following? 🤔
A: It doesn’t matter! You’re getting the job done.
So you like titles and positions. Get over it!
When you’re on a team, don’t ask whether or not you’re leading it ❌; ask whether or not you’re contributing to its success. ✅ Stop impressing yourself with your own brilliance. Spend time helping people know where they are going, linking their actions to the team’s goals, and supporting them as they get there. You’ll be perceived as a leader, regardless of your title. The team will succeed, the business will succeed, and you will say, “I made a difference.” Leadership is all about influence, not title. I think John Quincy Adams defined it best. He said, “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader.” When you focus on people and not the title on your business card, true influence will happen. When you have influence, the results will take care of themselves.

A paciência é algo divino...
-Weigma Bezerra
Is the Monday dread hitting you hard today?
🤔 I know. I remember. I used to feel it too every Sunday evening ( Good job it’s Bank Holiday tomorrow though right! )
🤷♀️ How long has it been since you were truly happy?
Now when I wake up on a Monday being my own boss it’s the best feeling in the world.
💎 No more anxiety of the Monday morning blues.
No more counting the ‘sleeps’ until Friday.
It hasn’t always been easy and it takes dedication and work but it’s a different kind of work.
😜 It’s an ‘excited’ in your belly kinda feeling. Excited to wake up every day and yet to feel at peace in yourself as you know you are working towards your dreams.
That’s how your life can change if you have the courage to escape the unknown.
🤗 You’ll break through the fear just like I did.
Your Monday dread is telling you that you have other options that can lead you to a happier and more fulfilling life.
Finally there’s a better way for you too 💞

Doch was hat mich immer weitermachen lassen?
Was sind deine Erfolgsfaktoren? Was lässt dich immer wieder aufstehen? Was treibt dich an?
Never fear of dreaming Big. What you are saying to yourself. I'm good so body will take good action if you are saying "I'm greatest ... body will take great massive action" which is equal to what you looking after. so be careful to the words. words mixed with feeling create a reality.
When you stop trying to fit in and embrace every perfect imperfection your superpowers shine through.
In business I ran away from my difference until I realised it’s what made me stand out.
It shouldn't have to take courage to be you. If you knew how much is available to you when you do you wouldn't hold back.

Who do you choose to see? Do you see who I am, who I was, or who I’m working to become?
As I get older I realize we get to choose what avatar or description we assign to people.
Will we choose to define her as quiet? Because she was silent when she should have spoken up.
Will we choose to define him as a lier? Because he didn’t tell the truth in that moment.
Will we choose to define her as abrasive? Because she spoke too soon or unfiltered.
The descriptions we assign matter. They inflict pain and place limitations on someone or inspire and motivate change and improvement in another.
I am so grateful for the people in life who define us not by our weakest moments but by the direction we are headed and moving in.
Sundays are powerful to me because they are centered on the concept that our weakest moments not only don’t define us but they can actually be wiped away. Redemption is a powerful and wonderful word.
So many time you keep asking, asking and asking and yet it just doesn’t seem to flow in. Why?
Your still seeing it as not here already. You keep wondering how, go on, admit it 😂. We focus focus, but still that voice is chirping in the background saying “when” , “How?”.
The second you ask, it is done, created, it is so. What you truly want to do is to get yourself into the allowing state and allow it in your life now. You do this with faith, plus also I have a few exercises we are working on to help in this area. .

This week more than 180 business leaders, including the chiefs of Walmart and JPMorgan Chase, overturned three decades of orthodoxy.
They pledged their firms' purpose was no longer to serve their owners alone, but customers, staff, suppliers and communities as well.
But however well-meaning, this new form of collective capitalism will end up doing more harm than good.

your success as a leader is only as good as the success of your team. This is why great salespeople are not necessarily great sales leaders.
In order to be a successful leader, you need to motivate your team to achieve greatness. You can accomplish this by doing the following:
1. Set clear goals
2. Champion collaboration with your team
3. Implement effective management techniques
4. Encourage positivity
5. Provide opportunities for self-development
Setting company goals isn’t enough, you must also set leadership goals. Just as you evaluate your team based on their performance, have them evaluate you as their leader. Trusting in your team not only works for the company but also helps you become a stronger leader.

This is why in my book Free to Focus, I teach you to STOP, CUT, and ACT. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You need to STOP and see what’s working and what’s not working with your current productivity. This will help you establish a clear vision for your productivity and give you clarity about what belongs on your schedule and what doesn’t.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Yoda famously says, “No. Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.”
The point is that when we say we are trying we don’t really have to do anything. It also provides us with an excuse for why we didn’t accomplish the outcome we say we want.
Do you understand the difference? You either do something or you don’t do it. Trying is really the same as not doing it. It just makes it easier for us to let ourselves off the hook when we fail.
Where are you trying to improve? Are you...
Trying to get in shape—or are you getting in shape?
Trying to improve your marriage—or are improving your marriage?
Trying to make more sales calls—or are you making more sales calls?
This may sound like a small distinction, but it has HUGE ramifications.
Maybe it’s time to quit trying and just do it. Here are 3 suggestions:
1️⃣Eliminate the word “try” from your vocabulary. Language is subtle. The words we use can program us to perform certain ways. Using the wrong language can create an outcome we don’t intend.
“Try” is a worthless word that accomplishes nothing. It might make us feel better when we fail, but it actually induces the kind of behavior that leads to failure.
2️⃣Decide either to do or not do. If you don’t want to do something, fine. Don’t do it. But don’t pretend that trying is the same as doing. They are two completely different postures.
This is what Yoda was telling Luke. Everything important we accomplish begins with a decision. We don’t slip into our greatest achievements. We commit and then make them happen.
3️⃣Commit 100% to the outcome you want. Like the project manager in Apollo 13 said, “Failure is not an option.” Play full out. Don’t quit. Don’t settle for merely trying.
Remember the point behind suggestion #1 above. Language is subtle. When we get comfortable with trying, we open the possibility of failure because we make it respectable to walk off the field before the whistle blows. Don’t give yourself the out.
Where have you been trying instead of doing?

As a leader, the health of your marriage directly impacts your effectiveness. Nothing will undermine it faster than a bad marriage. And few things will advance it like a good one.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But it’s not easy. All marriages are works in progress. I’ve been married to Gail for forty-one years, and we’re still working on ours.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I've identified three simple rules for creating a marriage you love:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Rule 1️⃣: Prioritize Your Marriage⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve learned the importance of going to bed at the same time. Exercising together. Worshipping together. Having uninterrupted conversations by ourselves and also with our family around the dinner table.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
These incremental steps, taken over the years, have made for a better marriage—and that affects everything else. The more stable and supportive my life at home is, the more confident and certain I feel when I step out.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Rule 2️⃣: Understand Your Differences and Value Them⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In our case, opposites truly did attract. We are exact opposites in almost every way.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That made us interesting to each other initially. But what started out as “You complete me” ended up being “You deplete me.”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Though we both went into marriage thinking of it as a lifetime commitment, after the first several years we were likely headed for divorce. Going to therapy helped us to better understand and value our differences—which have been critical in helping us both grow and become who we are today.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Rule 3️⃣: Get Outside Support⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I learned that it’s not only okay to seek outside help, it is necessary to do so from time to time.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Couples routinely go through premarital counseling but then are resistant to therapy once married. Maybe it feels like an admission of failure. But that’s exactly the wrong way of looking at it. Whether it’s my finances, my fitness, or my plumbing, when I get stuck, I call in help. Why wouldn’t I do that for my marriage?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
How do YOU create a marriage you love? Share with me in the comments.
💯 Lifehack: If you're doubting, stressing, or worrying; focus on supporting some ELSE. When in doubt, focus out.
When we're in a state of anxiety or fear, we are focusing IN. Looking at ourselves, our concerns, how things might be affecting *us*. As soon as we focus OUT, examine how we might make someone else's day better, we allow our brains to stop focusing on what's bringing stress.
So the next time you're freaking out about something, do a random act of kindness. Send someone in your phone book a random message telling them you love them, that they matter, that they've made an impact on your life.
Celebrate every little thing in your life like this child. Caption this video in 1 word! 😊😍 @successfulmaster

[HOW TO MASTER THE ESSENTIAL DISCIPLINE OF STILLNESS] According to the popular StrengthsFinder assessment, my top strength is “Achiever.” This strength has served me well, but it also has a dark side. It means I have a difficult time turning off my mind and just being still. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So my wife, @gailhyatt, recommended that I read The Joy Diet by @themarthabeck. The first chapter is entitled “Nothing.” Beck says, “To begin the Joy Diet, you must do nothing for at least fifteen minutes a day.” Doing nothing is being still, quieting your mind (and the cacophony of voices), and simply being. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was so challenged by this chapter, that I read it four times. I also practiced this discipline for over three weeks in a row. Honestly, it was one of the most transformational things I have ever done.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I doubt you need convincing that you need some measure of this. Here are a few suggestions for starting the practice of stillness and reclaiming some interior margin.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1️⃣ Schedule a time. For me, I schedule stillness first thing in the morning. It has become so precious to me, that I won’t want to start the day without it.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2️⃣ Find a place. I simply go into my study and shut the door. The main thing is to find a place where you won’t be interrupted.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3️⃣ Set a timer. I am following Beck’s admonition to set aside fifteen minutes a day. In my limited experience, this seems about right. It is amazing how my perception of this time changes from day to day. Sometimes it seems like forever. Other times, it goes by very quickly. I use the timer on my iPhone.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4️⃣ Relax your body. I simply sit in a soft chair with my eyes closed. I then systematically relax my body and get quiet. Beck says that if you can’t sit still, then engage in any mindless physical activity, like rocking in a chair or watching some natural motion like fire or running water. I also play a recording of the ocean.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
