Hey IG Fam! I'm sooooo demotivated these days. Not doing anything productive at all.
Not going good on my health and studies, not having a cheerful conversion with my friends, not going to good places, not reading any book, not getting enough sleep, not active in making some good food. Nah. Nothing.

6️⃣ GO OUTSIDE 🌳 FOR A WALK OR A RUN 🏃♀️ . Better yet, engage in a grueling workout 🏋🏻♀️ . Pump some iron 💪, release those endorphins. Shifting your physical space often has a profound effect on mental states too.😅
7️⃣INTERACT WITH KIDS. 👼🏼Their pure, untainted energy, cute gestures, anecdotes and observations are a sure shot way of bringing Your Highness down from the Majestic Throne of Sadness.
8️⃣ ASK FOR FREE HUGS 🤗 from whoever is physically willing to bestow them upon you. Their effectiveness is backed by science. ‘Nuff said!
9️⃣Also, if you feel the urge to CRY 😭, let the tears roll. There should be no shame in letting an emotion find an outlet through your eyeballs 👁 . A word of caution: make sure you cry in private and not while driving 🚗 . Why put the general public in danger just because of your blurry vision?
🔟SLEEP IT OFF. Sometimes all you need is a good sound sleep session 🛌 . Turn off that phone 📲 and plonk your head on a pillow. 12 hours or 24 ⏰, have no shame in giving your body what it needs.

This NOT the way to deal with persistent mental health issues that result in extreme levels of debilitating sadness. Also, this is not the way to process grief due to loss of a person or a pet 🐶 .
P.S. These might not work if your sadness is stemming from health issues such as nutritional deficiencies and/or hormonal imbalances. In that case, get medical help from a trustworthy, reliable professional, 💊 rather than Instagram or Google!
Also, if your sadness is due to your monthly cycle or an astrological alignment, the only way out of that is a bar of dark chocolate 🍫 . You are advised to check your calendar 📆 and act accordingly!
The sadness cures being mentioned below are for mental or emotional fuck-ups which DO allow you to physically function in a normal life and are usually undetectable by the world at large:
1️⃣ALLOW YOURSELF TO FEEL THE FEELING without questioning the why’s of it. Speaking from personal experience, we usually prolong & intensify the low vibrations of sadness from digging into the reasons and being frustrated at ourselves for feeling that way. Accept it. Breathe. You are allowed to be sad even if you can’t figure out the reason. You don’t have to be a superwoman all the time. It’s just an emotion. Feel it, live through it, and then get done with it!🙇🏻♀️
2️⃣KEEP YOURSELF BUSY/DISTRACTED. Although watching a film 📺 , Netflix bingeing💻 or endless YouTube-ing can be termed as effective escapism, it is more effective to engage in a mundane physical activity, such as clearing out your wardrobe , catching up on laundry & ironing🧺, arranging all the spices in the kitchen cabinet in alphabetical order, etc.
3️⃣TAKE A SHOWER🚿. It is one of the most effective antidotes to Life’s many problems. A targeted stream of water on the physical body has the mysterious ability to not just wash away the dirt, sweat & pollution, but also the dip in your mind. 🧠 •
4️⃣DO NOT RESORT TO EMOTIONAL EATING❌. Drowning your body in processed food is not the way to go. You don’t need to numb your sadness through junk. It does NOT WORK! 🙅🏻♀️It only makes you feel worse. Trust me, I’ve been there, done that!
5️⃣CALL UP 📞AN OLD FRIEND and catch up with them. You do not have to talk about your lousy feelings. Listen to how they are doing in their life. It shifts your mind-space; an anecdote of theirs might incite laughter😅 and switch off the sadness in you.

@citycafelhr is my favourite place - be it their food or the ambience. 🍽We ordered their honey wings which were total yum✅✅ However, this time their molten lava cake was not up-to the mark. Quite disappointed by it❌
This picture is at Broken Beach on Nusa Penida Island. You can take a day trip there from Bali and see some beautiful sites and spend the day on the beach. However, if you get car sick, you may want to reconsider. The roads on the island aren’t paved and you spend the majority of your time in a car that’s bouncing around. I never get sea sick and I hardly ever get car sick but this trip had me hunched over holding my head to relieve the nausea. The sites are beautiful and amazing to see but if you just want a nice beach day, I would recommend staying near Seminyak
