Flashback to 7 weeks ago when I gave birth to my Harlow 💕 I had a natural labor even though I didn’t necessarily plan it that way. I didn’t go into labor with specific expectations because I didn’t want to disappoint myself if I couldn’t take the pain in the moment. However, I dilated from 4cm to 9cm in 45 minutes so I actually missed my window for medicine in that time! At that point, it was all about doing my best to cope and make the most of the life changing experience. How was your labor and delivery experience? #labor#mom#newborn#baby
Stretch marks? Having a baby soon? Just had a baby and need more help healing DOWN THERE?! Our bodies take time to recover from a vaginal birth and the oils in this blend are wonderful! My sister is a labor and delivery nurse and not too long ago she called me to tell me that a mother she had supported through labor during her shift had a beautiful, unmedicated birth that reminded her of my labor and birth with Benjamin. She said it was really cool because "a lot of first time moms don't get the birth they want". It made me super happy for that mom and very grateful for Ben's birth, but it also broke my heart for other moms who dont get to experience the birth they want, whatever that may be!
Expecting moms need to know they don't have to do what anyone else thinks they need to. They need get educated about the process of birth and all of the options surrounding it, and make sure the people around them know what they are and are not okay with. Hire a doula to advocate for you. Have bold sisters there to remind people what you want while you're concentrating on bringing baby earthside. Whatever you need to do to make sure YOUR birth unfolds how YOU want and how you are comfortable with. There is no reason any mom, even a first time mom, can't have a wonderful birth experience.
Diyarbakır Gurme Fuarı'nda Van Kahvaltısı ve Keledoş'a yoğun ilgi
TÜYAP'ın Diyarbakır'da ilk defa düzenlediği 'Diyarbakır Gurme 2018 Gıda ve Yöresel Lezzetler Fuar'ına yoğun ilgi oldu. 28 ilden 112 firmanın katıldığı fuar 5 gün boyunca Diyarbakırlılar'ın ziyaretine açık kalacak. Fuar'a Kahramanmaraş'tan, Gaziantep'e Van'dan Kayseri'ye birçok kentten katılım oldu.

"To the mom hiding in her bathroom, needing peace for just one minute, as the tears roll down her cheeks.. To the mom who is so tired she feel likes she can't function anymore and would do anything to lay down and get the rest she needs... To the mom sitting in her car, alone, stuffing food in her face because she doesn’t want anyone else to see or know she eats that stuff…
To the mom crying on the couch after she yelled at her kids for something little and is now feeling guilty and like she is unworthy…
To the mom that is trying desperately to put those old jeans on because all she really wants is to look in the mirror and feel good about herself…
To the mom that doesn’t want to leave the house because life is just too much to handle right now…
To the mom that is calling out for pizza again because dinner just didn’t happen the way she wanted it to…
To the mom that feels alone, whether in a room by herself or standing in a crowd... You are enough.
You are important.
You are worthy.
This is a phase of life for us. This is a really really hard, challenging, crazy phase of life.
In the end it will all be worth it. But for now it’s hard. And it's hard for so many of us in many different ways. We don't always talk about it, but it's hard and it's not just you.
You are enough.
You are doing your best.
Those little eyes that look up at you - they think you are perfect. They think you are more than enough.
Those little hands that reach out to hold you - they think you are the strongest. They think you can conquer the world.
Those little mouths eating the food you gave them - they think that you are the best because their bellies are full.
Those little hearts that reach out to touch yours - they don’t want anything more. They just want you.
Because you are enough. You are more than enough, mama.
You. Are. Amazing." - Bethany Jacobs

There are a million wonderful things we could say about Amanda, but perhaps it would be easiest to break it down into how great she was in both prep for birth and in action the day of:
PREP: Amanda was able to hit the ground running. She came prepared but never rushed it. It helped that Amanda is immensely knowledgeable and great at communicating that knowledge with us. We especially appreciated how thoughtful she was about labor and delivery with a queer, non-binary birthing parent. We felt immediately comfortable with her - no adjustment period necessary!
LABOR AND DELIVERY: She was very flexible about working around our needs, equally willing to pick up food or coffee for us as she was to help with the nuts and bolts of delivery - helping me get to the bathroom with my IV pole, suggesting different positions, or just holding my hand or my leg as I labored. During the painful or stressful parts of labor, Amanda was an absolute rock, providing us with comfort and information right when we both needed it. Plus, she is so easy to talk to, which made the hours go by all the faster!
It was not the easiest birth, but both my partner and I will always be grateful that Amanda was part of it. Her support, comfort, and knowledge made a sometimes boring, sometimes scary, often painful labor ultimately a very fulfilling and magical process. We cannot recommend Amanda more highly!

After >>> before
This busy, well traveled & well read, mama of 3 was feeling overwhelmed by the clutter and chaos of her giant bookshelf, so much so she has been avoiding spending time in this room.
After two solid days, and countless trips up and down the ladder, we did it 💪 the space is refreshed for function & flow.
It might not seem like a big difference from left to right, but when I left today she was cuddled up on the couch breastfeeding her youngest 💕
12 years ago I was in labor at home with my first baby. I birthed her (in that kiddie pool in the background) after 6 hours of moaning, groaning and an OM with every rushing wave of contraction my body needed in order to prepare to push this tiny human out. And I did it...! With thanks to my dearest sister, midwives and her father, so patiently and lovingly supporting my every need. She was born in the ridiculously small quarters of the meditation room of a pyramid house that was formerly a Krishna temple. And last week, we just visited the space for the first time since I gave birth, which was suuuuuper special for us both. I can’t believe I’ve been a mother for 12 years. I was 20!What a trip. What a joy. What a blessing! WHAT💕LOVE. Hands down, the most empowering moment of my life, at that time. The birth that inspired me to become a #Doula and to begin studying #spiritualmidwifery 🙌🏾🌸 I have so much to be grateful for when this day comes around full circle. HAPPY BIRTHING DAY TO US🎁 And to all of the women and children out there who have birthed themselves and created the meaning of family, together 🌸🌹🌸
(PS. I literally post this photo every year because its the only good one I have and so friggin special to me!!!)
