Going for 55! A double meaning to those who know!
I lost a lot of weight at the end of 2018 but it has been creeping back on slowly but surely. Ankle, knee, hamstring and foot injuries have not helped as they stopped me running and my love of chocolate biscuits hasn’t helped.
However with the help of a hinged knee brace, sports massage and physiotherapy I am starting again from scratch. Walking two minutes then running one. The knee is holding up so far.

It’s race morning! Day 1 of 3.
The doctor said I do not have a meniscus tear, so yay me!
My knee is still hurting but the cortisone injection seems to be helping.
Therefore, I will be walking this one!
After work I squeezed in a short full body workout at the gym then headed straight to practice. Getting back into working out consistently has improved me as a martial artist and it makes me so happy. Since I physically had to put this on pause last year, I’m beyond happy to be back on the mats. I work hard with sweat, blood, tears, bruises, and soreness.....AND I love every part of it 👊🏽😇 I am MANCIA STRONG ♥️

Leg day 😍 Definitely my favorite. There's just something about using your lower half to haul some heavy weight. I've been enjoying focusing more on glute/hamstring exercises and throwing in quad stuff since I'm more quad dominant.

The first step to make once the molds are completely dry. 👇🏻
Is to move them from a negative state to a positive state ✅
We do that by cleaning all the excess material leaving the surface completely smooth. 👌🏻
In a positive state we proceed to mold the materials on the molds.➡️
Follow These Running Techniques to Help Avoid Knee Injury;
1. Keep your knees soft and bent during the landing and support phases of your stride...
2. Foot position. Many runners have their feet turned out to the side as they run. It’s best to have the feet pointing in the direction of travel...
3. Having the right cadence. Many runners' cadence (leg turnover) is too slow. Ideally it’s thought the best cadence is around 180 for both legs...
4. Have more of a circular leg action...
5. Don’t heel strike. Try to land whole foot (mid-foot strike) and under the knee...

Today was ab day which is one of my favorite days because it's not as high intensity and I've learned how important a strong core is for deadlifts and squats. Even though it's disgusting outside and I had a late work meeting I still prioritized the gym. I'm so thankful for a body that can move and work!

A year ago today 7/18/17 I had knee surgery. I remember being in physical therapy thinking “I’m having the hardest time learning to walk again how am I ever going to get back to dancing?” I felt like I’d never feel “Normal” again. I can say a year later it does get better! Most of the time I forget about my injury unless I’m dancing or having to squat down etc. I’ll feel a little pain, but I’m so blessed to be were I’m at today. I still have a lot of work ahead of me to be back to were I was but I learned to have patience and to give it time.
