Hairloss happens. It can have a variety of causes: 🔸 Stress
While those causes need to be dealt with, you can support your scalp.
Nourishing your scalp and hair follicles can allow hair to grow. Not all products are created equal.
I’ve been doing this for over two years and have seen client after client improve their hair game by switching to naturally based products. ❤️ Helping people is my mission 🙌🏽 #summerhair#postpartumbody#goodhairdays
Starting butterfly research this week! I’ve had to rethink and rework the way I do many things with the diversity of skill levels in my class this year. Inspired by my amazing coteacher, I just created and posted these butterfly research books. After reading or working online , we complete the pages as a class. The adapted version actually comes with 2 levels of differentiation. Dinosaur versions coming soon! Check them out by following the link in my profile! You can buy them separately or in a bundle. 🦋 #inclusion#differentiation
Do you ever feel anxious or worried? Do you ever have the "what if" worries? Do these worries sprout from you like gnarled tree branches? Bea is about to have her birthday party and she has so many worries - what if no one plays with me?, what if we didn't bake enough cake?, what if... what if... what if... Bea has so much anxiety that she can't even enjoy her own birthday party. Bea has to go out back and do her calming exercises - breath in and breath out. She has to clear her mind of all of the "what if" worries. Can Bea overcome her anxiety and enjoy her own birthday party? Will all of her "what if" worries be breathed away or is her party ruined? Read this great book to find out the answers to all of these questions!
This is a phenomenal book to help children cope with the anxieties of life. It teaches them to go away to a quiet place and let your breathing calm you down. It lets kids know that it is okay to have worries and then once you calm down they will find most of these worries were for nothing. Bea lets kids know that they are not alone when it comes to anxiety. Everyone has them and it's up to you to control it. Every child (and adult) should have this book if they deal with ongoing anxiety issues. Don't miss this one!! Follow me:

Spring Break is not turning out as I had envisioned. Long days in the sun with my family, lazy mornings, bike rides and late night treats...ha. More like loooong hours at my computer working to get a requirement done for my certification. My boys are fending for themselves so if anyone wants to get together with them, or bring me a pick-me-up...we’re here! #suckingitup

Once upon a time there was a 3-year-old little sister who loved to come to my kindergarten class with her mom, to help her older sister and the other Sweeties learn. (1990ish, Mom Betsy is reading; Megan is circled) .* A couple years later, Megan was a full fledged Sweetie, and in my class! .* Over the years, when she needed community service hours for school, we were blessed to have Miss Megan come work with us! This pic is high school, and she also came through college; you see she decided to go into education! .* Several years later, after I had moved to second grade, we needed a new kindergarten teacher in our building...guess who was hired?! How cool is that? My kids thought it was cool when she would “sneak” into my room during the first week, close the door behind her, and let them know that she knows the “secret of the Sweeties”, because like them, she is a Sweetie! She even knew the secret signal for hallway greetings! (We called her class my grand Sweeties) The pic in her blue shirt is at my retirement party last June
Imagine my joy when she and her hubby announced that they were expecting their first child! We both may have cried a little bit when she asked me to be her doula. These pics are from her baby shower with Jamie (who has 2 adorable sons and is an Art teacher in Chicago!) and their Mom, Betsy, who is still as sweet and sassy as when we first met!
Last week Megan gave birth to a beautiful baby boy! She has always been special in my heart. We kind of grew up together in many ways. We’ve certainly helped each other through some of life’s highs and lows! To see her as a mom, is to see her exactly what she was born to be. I feel so blessed to be a part of her journey and can’t wait to watch him grow up! .* I had to tell this story for @worlddoulaweek because we’ve almost gone full circle, and it just makes me happy! Every birth has a story, this one is pretty unique! 💜

✨SIGHT WORD SORT✨This is one of the activities I put put into my Literacy rotations this morning and my kids really enjoyed it! All they had to do was pick up a word and place it into the right container. I told them the containers were hungry for the right sight words that matched the one on their tummy, and feeding them the wrong one would give them a tummy ache. Really simple, but it’s helping my students consolidate these sight words! And really easy to differentiate and change up! This could also word for numbers, letters, etc. So versatile!

Going to consolidate numbers 1-10 for a few more weeks (anyone have any tips for correcting reversals... I feel like I’ve tried evvvvvvverything?! 😂) But soon we’ll be ready to do this awesome activity. It’s a great way to introduce teen numbers (and twenty numbers) and it makes such a great display to continue referring to during number lessons! @bonditeacher and I joined together to make this freebie template last year: just head to TPT and search for Paper Chains- Teen and Twenty Numbers 😀
(PS- I know there is a typo on 25- it’s fixed now but photo is an old one!!)
Absolutely LOVE our new library steps 🎨 Each class last year voted on their favourite book and each step represents their votes 📚 Libraries are truely magical places that allow for so many adventures and now the walk up is an adventure as well 🥰 Artist: Artypants Playground Markings.
