The perception of the internet is that achieving your goals just takes work and hustle. That just sounds like pain to me.
I've been lucky to experience enthusiasm for what I do on a number of times, so I know the truth.
The truth is once your aligned with your goals, your nearly pulled to your dreams.
The real work is in doing the emotional work to get clear on what you truly desire not think you want.
Like a desire for a woman, car or happiness that desire is coming from deep in you. And if you are full of emotional noise you will not be able to connect to yourself to truly know what you desire.
All clarity comes from emotional congruence with self.
Feeling insecure about my decision to go for my #goals already. Ha ha ha. It's all part of the process.
What I'm working on and writing out is to build my connection and my ability to visualise what and who I want to be.
All this mind set stuff is so counter productive. What creates everything is emotion and the stronger our emotional connection to what we want the easier it will be to achieve and more exciting.
Enjoy I wrote this at exactly 1414 for those interested in the hippy stuff too.
The toughest journey you will ever make is to be yourself.
So much social inertia, social conditioning and insecurity make us feel unsafe to be who we truly are.
It's a huge challenge to just allow yourself to truly shine.
But when you do you will have so much fun and enjoyment of life.
All the things that people are striving for in life all come to you when you just be and allow yourself to be yourself.
That is your greatest source of power!
The reality is there are best practices and strategies that successful people in any industry figure out, mimic and follow.
Technical skills aren’t enough.
Being good at what you do (your job, your role, your business) doesn’t automatically lead to success.
In running the Dent accelerators and having worked with 3000+ entrepreneurs directly, we’ve discovered the best opportunities, deals and recognition gets shared amongst a small inner-circle within an industry.
These Key People of Influence are MUCH better at things like pitching for opportunity, publishing thought leadership and unique ideas, aligning with powerful products, appearing in media and partnering with other KPI’s.
Ultimately it’s honing these 5 skills that makes all the difference.
Tag someone who needs to harness this approach instead.
I attended an event aimed at a very specific type of entrepreneur, where something said really struck a chord.
The presenter - the renowned entrepreneur and angel investor - Dale Murray CBE, explained how she once had to pitch to the same client on multiple occasions in order to get them over the line. This client was the last of several major companies who had already agreed to her proposal. Had this particular client not signed up then her business would have, essentially, dissipated.
I’m talking about a mega deal here. A lot was riding on it.
She and her team kept revisiting the client to pitch. They’d go on to pitch on several occasions until the day arrived where the client was sold, not through attrition, but through perfection.
Each time she pitched she was making incremental improvements, and the fact that she kept her attention on that client, meant that she was nurturing their interest along the way.
This story was summarised by the concept that everything we have been doing up to now has been preparing us for what’s ahead. All those skills we’ve picked up; our networks; mistakes; wins and know-how - they are all components, when the time is right, for the big goal.
This makes complete sense to me. A bit of a light bulb moment. 💡 . .
And to add, it’s ok if you are not where you want to be right now, so long a you are accruing what you need for when the time comes.
We’re all in training for something.

I have no idea of what I’m doing and that’s kind of how I love it. I will just go for it this year and hope that one of the smallest step in the right direction end up be the biggest step of my life. #kafnusydney
