Our kids have a lower brain wave frequency until they are 7 years old on average. A frequency similar to the adult subconscious. By her repeating these affirmations daily I am shaping the women she will be in 20 years.
A world full of kids who believe in themselves is the greatest legacy we can leave.

The quadratus lumborum, or QL, is a key piece of your core. While technically an abdominal muscle, the QL is located deep enough that it has tremendous influence over the lumbar region in your low back.
If you are suffering from lower back pain, understanding and caring for your QL can be a major factor in finding and alleviating the source of that pain.
The pair of QL muscles are located at the rear of the abdominal wall and are connected between the inside of the pelvis and the lower vertebrae. The QL comes into play in the function and stability of your spine. It assists in forward-backward and side-to-side flexion and extension as well as assisting the diaphragm during inhalation.
The primary movements of the QL are:
-Ipsilateral lumbar flexion or side bending – the left QL moves the left ribs to the left hip.
-Lumbar extension – when contracting bilaterally the QL’s move the lumbar spine into a back bend.
-Fixes 12th rib during forced exhalation
- Elevates the ilium to which it attaches – the left QL moves the ilium toward ribs on the left side.
Sitting for prolonged periods of time affects the stabilizer muscles of the vertebrae, effectively shutting them off. When these muscles no longer aide in the support of the spine and lower back, then the QL takes up the slack. Which is a job it’s not meant to do. The QL is the King of Compensation. The QL takes over the roles of other muscles but can only do it for so long before problems ensue.
Symptoms of quadratus lumborum pain include tightness and discomfort in the lower back region. The type and severity of the pain may vary.
Pain in the quadratus lumborum may potentially cause:
• pain in your hip joints, buttocks, and thighs
• pain in your sacroiliac joint
• low back pain
• abdominal pain⠀⠀ ⠀

I plan on using this as a pad during abs specific exercises to work towards one of my goals this year of six pack abs by year’s end. I also plan to use it for yoga poses that help me work towards my goal of doing the splits again, by year’s end , like I used to when I trained in karate years ago. Also, I’ll use the mat to do yoga poses which will help me work towards my goal of learning to to handstands by the end of the year. I’m also doing some full body strength training with dumbbells to support the handstand goal. Abs, splits and handstands. 3 ambitious goals, aww hell, let’s get out the Rosetta Stone and begin a serious study of Spanish this year as well. I’m excited about seeing where 2019 takes me, I have a feeling it’s going to be a good year. As the weight starts to go down and you actually start to see the progress there where i start to fail. ☠️😣 This week is slow (i know its only Tuesday) , feeling week, loosing motivation, overthinking things, and terrified to loose it.
Bright side is:
Still loyal to the Daily calory intake, BW is going down, checking my self out in d mirror more frequently 😅, and somehow still end my day with exercise.
This is where its always get complicated, this is where i need to challenge myself more. I hope this is my small before becoming great 🙂

So how did your day go? Did you get everything done you said you were gonna get done?
Sometimes, we don't get the to do list finished, and you know what? That's okay! There's always tomorrow for your to conquer that overflow.
The key is three big steps.
Deciding that " Yes" this is what I am going to do.
Commit by following through with all the actions that are attributed to your choice. Don't make excuses and don't procrastinate.
It may take some time before you succeed at all that you've decided to commit to. But that's okay. Sometimes that's part of the process. Have the faith that you will get there, and the success will come.
My Rules for SUCCESS: •Set a GOAL.
•Believe in Yourself.
•Share it outside of your head.
•Show UP even when you don't want to.
•Some is better than none. •Give yourself grace.
And mostly ⬇️⬇️ ACTION is better than Perfection.✨
