The stair master is my friend at the moment along with a lil bit of HIIT and cardio on my upper days, it’s getting those endorphins flowing which I neeeeed with these cold dark days!

Had my Christmas playlist at the ready to go and hunt down Christmas lights. Poor choice of route and hardly any to be seen 🙄
Still, four miles in the bank. Still keeping a close eye on the heart rate. Slowing down on my #easyrun Has worked wonders. I’m feeling and running much better for it already. On the whole. Not so much tonight. I actually felt like a slug going up the hills. A slug that mines with its solitary head torch. It’s been a long day 🤷🏼♀️

I was tired from work but I wanted to get out as I know I won't be running tomorrow as we are driving to Norfolk to see family before Christmas.
Went out knowing I needed to warm up well before I got going with some speed.
5 x 6 min pace was all I could muster after yesterday's speedwork. I wasn't really to fussed about my times just wanted the effort to be solid and the rest is pointless.
1 mile cool Down to lower the heart rate and I can rest easy knowing I have the miles in the bank.
Still no knee pain just a little weak but I'm working on that daily.
It’s amazing what a little confidence boost will do to your mind and body! I’m the girl who’s always comparing myself to everyone else. Social Media can be like poison, making me feel not good enough sometimes. But I am proud of how far I have come and even though I feel like I have a long way to go in a lot of aspects of my life, right now I can say that I’m proud. I hope if you’re like me, and comparing yourself to someone else’s journey, just try to remind yourself how far you’ve come in your own. 💕 Also, look at that sky today! Weather in So Cal is pretty perfect right now. 😍⛅️
“Your goals, minus your doubts, equal your reality.”
I will never forget running those last few hundred meters on November 4th and, in the process, casting away every doubt I’d ever had about my ability to run, to endure, to attain that seemingly unattainable goal. Everybody should have a moment like that in their life, and I want to experience it again and again, faster and stronger every time.
If 2018 was about falling in love with the run, 2019 will be about kicking ass at it 👊🏼
