Let’s take advantage of where we live, shall we? We’ve had our site set on Museum Park since we crossed the finish line during year 1. Who’s ready for the cities best view of the Miami skyline and all the right reasons to let your guard down and have some fun!
Finally starting to grow some wings after all these weeks of cross training. I might not be the fastest or the strongest, but I #KeepShowingUp

🌲The strongest oak tree of the forest is not the one that is protected from the storm and hidden from the sun, but it is the one that stands in the open, where it is compelled to struggle for its existence against the winds and rain and the scorching sun. ~Napoleon hill
Resilience is the ability to go through adversity in such a way that you come out the other side better off for the experience.
Being resilient takes practice and courage. Resilience is not something we are born with; is something that is developed and strengthened as we grow experience life. /
To build your resilience muscle you must regularly put yourself in the area to battle it out. Next time life throws you a curve ball, put on your resilience raincoat and know that on the other side of the discomfort is always growth.💙
It was so humid this morning that I think this little guy was trying to dry off. I did manage to get him off the road though. On a down note, my right knee bothered me for nearly me entire run this morning. It wasn’t painful, but just reminding me it was there. #justrun#maybeishouldcrosstrainmore#optoutside#toadintheroad
Today, I wear red as a reminder...
✨ that I am a #warriorforlife
✨ to have courage + be kind
✨ that one small decision can have a lasting impact on you life
✨ to enjoy the journey
✨ that life is short + can be taken away in an instant
Today, I am a warrior. I'm a warrior for myself, for my kids, for my friends, for anyone I come in contact with.
Today, I ran, not because I love it, but because I was able to wake up another day, that I could kiss + hug my kiddos, because I COULD.
Life is short. It can be taken away in an instant. Live each moment as if it could be your last. Don't regret a second.
“When you start doubting yourself. Remember how far you have come. Remember everything you have faced, all the battles you have won, and all the fears you have overcome.”
As a little girl I was in the Hospital for 45 days. When I was able to go home we drove past this forest next to the road. It had this trail path running up-and-down in the forest. I told myself that day “One day I want to be able to run there.” .
Years later in 2015, I finally did. It became something I cherished and saw as a symbol of overcoming the obstacles I had in life. In 2015, I also ran my first Two Oceans half marathon and realized the last bit of the course runs on the road right next to the path. Placing top 10 that year was one of my biggest victories and something I will always remember. #♥ .
Running on this trail today, I had to remind myself how far I have come since I was 13 years old. How much I had to overcome and how many times I have fallen and had to get back up - literally and physically! Those of you that know me would understand that one 😂🙈 #accidentpronechild) .
So when you start doubting yourself...look back #justrun 🏃🏻♀️

W11/R50- You know that feeling when you are kind of scared of a scheduled run, but then you do it and you hit your paces and it goes great? That was me this morning! I have to admit, I was a little intimidated by 11 miles with 7 at tempo pace on a Tuesday morning at 4am. I was hoping to do my tempo miles at 7:45-8:00 pace, with 7:45 being if I was feeling good. I worked really hard not to let the pace get away from me, and somehow I managed to hold it for the entire 7 miles! This workout gave me a lot of confidence for the half marathon I’m running in less than 3 weeks. I definitely have my eye on a time goal, and after this morning I feel like maybe I can do it!.
PS- Isn’t that pace chart pretty?! 😍😍😍
New kettlebell & new kettlebell workout this morning.
I had to buy a new kbell because my boys threw mine over the deck last week to see if it would break open on the stamped concrete below.... it did.
Boys are fun. Does anybody want a couple? Lol. 🙈
