We're baaaaaaccckk!!! We got our helluva workout in tonight. We were tired as crap but we pushed through and got it in anyway!! Sometimes the best workouts happen when you're tired. If there is any truth that you read today... This is the truth you must believe!
You have become the person you are, because of every single decision, no matter how small or big, you have made up to this point in your life.
So, if you are not happy, or want something more, you know what you have to do... Simply, make a decision!
I trained upper body last night and had one of the biggest successes yet.
At the beginning of December, I decided it was time to begin bench pressing. In the past, I have injured myself multiple times, even with just 10 pound dumbbells trying to press. The stress on my joints has left me in burning, pinching and aching pain for days after performing just a few reps. I've attempted it several times in the past 3 years, then stopped after the pain set in, to not even think about it for months before I'd try again.
But last night, I was able to complete 2 reps with 80 pounds, 35 pounds on a bar. I had to hold back tears from excitement. For a long time, I wasn't sure if this would ever be possible. But I tried my hardest to believe I'd overcome this, and then I decided, I absolutely am going to conquer the pain and get to where I want to be. To most people, benching 80 pounds is laughable. But I felt like I was pushing every negative feeling and moment of frustration away from me with those reps, it was one of the most satisfying things I've ever experienced in the gym. It might as well have been a world record, haha. And there's been no pain today either!
This is what I needed to keep on working hard, and I can see it perfectly, a vision in the distance of reaching every single thing I set out to achieve. Seeing your belief and relentless attitude pay off is indescribable. I feel unstoppable. Health goals, fitness goals, life goals, they're all mine.
I'm so freaking grateful. Thrilled. I'm determined. I'm ready for more. ......And it's really nice to train upper body in pajama pants. 🐆
