My mentor drills into my mind every week to "celebrate the small wins". Life can deal decks of cards so overwhelming that one often avoids acknowledging the daily wins.
I imagine if one can't bask in the mini wins that when the major wins occur one still wouldn't value or appreciate it.
This allowed me to get smacked in the face with reality. I'm winning despite what the surface looks like... Do you count your daily wins or do you focus on the 'losses". This week refocus your attention on the small wins. At the end of the week count them up and simply say thank you!
Progression isn't always pretty but definitely necessary.

I can't believe after 12 years I am walking away from the hair industry😭...I have held on for 2 years too long out of fear...however sometimes it's that fear that will place your back so far against the wall and force you to make the decision that's best for your life.

@journaljotandjive has created a monster!!! I went from staring at the blank pages of my journal with no idea what to do; to operating out of 2 planners and a journal. The last month has been a revelation. I use one to track meals and workouts; one to document daily prayers/scriptures, dear diary moments, etc.; and another for notes, detailed plans, and lists.
I even upgraded my work notebook from the supply room standard to one that makes me smile. Now that I know I'm going to stick with it, I took the time yesterday to actually decorate them.
Adrian - those clear pockets are the perfect size to hold post-its. I found some pretty ones when I was school shopping for Jazzy.

Is negativity becoming the new normal?
I'd unfortunately say yes in some aspects...however it is the duty of the individual to decide if you want to be a willing participant (whether posting the negativity, continuously following the negativity...silently or aloud...or complaining about seeing the negativity). In my transparency, I was the latter. I started finding myself seeing negative post in some form or fashion come on my timeline. I would roll my eyes but I would keep them on my timeline. Why? Maybe subconsciously I was drawn to it because I was already in a funk. Or did the daily engagement help reroute my vibrations and spirit? All in all we have a choice in what we accept as our "normal". Remember it's okay not to engage or be sucked into negativity. The change occurs internally. You attract what you think or surround yourself with. Be diligent in your quest to live a lighter and pleasant life. Being negative doesn't have to be your norm. It's okay to heal! ❤
I've met some amazing ladies in the journal and planner community. When I decided to take Journal Jot and Jive in a new direction, I started with my 1 and only PR team. Each of the ladies guided me and helped me in way unimaginable. I haven't figured this journal/planner community out just yet. I've been kinda of quiet but I'm not quitting just readjusting some things! ❤
But one things for sure you will and can always connect with amazing people! Y'all she decorated an insert ❣❣You have to see her inserts to understand!

Happy July! After a much needed break from work I am feeling at ease! Sometimes we get so wrapped into work... motherhood... family...and friends, that we don't accept that we are running on fumes!
I am slowly accepting over thinking and overworking doesn't help me acheive my overall goals...if anything I set myself back vs moving forward.

Take off the mask, the facade, you don't have to give your journal a rehearsed line! If you had a joyous week write about it! Your journal is allowed to envelope happy thoughts! I'd you had a pretty crappy week...be specific in what went wrong but also admit how you've played a role and create a pack with yourself to change what YOU can change! If this week was neither bad or great...write that! If someone made you feel a particular way...write that too and be descriptive... All in all purge your thoughts so that you can welcome positive vibes and new memories into your mjnd! YOU ARE SO WORTH THE MENTAL RELEASE!
