Mornings are for me! I wake up early, listen to @calm, drink some coffee, and head out for a sweat 😓 session. This is me time. I’m not checking email. I won’t respond to Slack. I workout and then I eat. Two of my favorite things. These are my mornings. Then 9:30 hits and I start my hustle. 📷: @jordanquinnphoto

I don’t know about you, but I want to feel strong, empowered, confident & energized! All the time! Even during the holidays!! And I know EXACTLY what to do to feel that way. It doesn’t take a lot of time, but it DOES take making a commitment to myself and creating consistency. Am I always perfect in doing EVERYTHING that helps me feel my best? No way!! Good thing perfection is NOT required. Just daily steps in the right direction. And seeing PROGRESS is SO empowering! (Check my stories to see how I did on today’s “beat your score” workout😉).
What about you? How do you WANT to feel? Are you doing the things that help you feel that way?
I’ve been working my tail off! 🍑🔥💪🏻 and it’s paying off! 💁🏼♀️ lets be honest I had a blast this summer! I was on a vacation every month from May to August , yes I was working out but all the eating and drinking really caught up with me! I didn’t like where I was heading, I was uncomfortable, my pants were tight, and it was really affecting me mentally! Refocusing on me has brought me back to the right mindset! Big changes I’ve made is focusing on what I’m eating and drinking, and actually lifting heavy! Watching all the gains! Happy Friday! #tgif#flexfriday#halfmarathontraining#motherrunner#irun#irunthisbody
Finally, dry weather! This week was brutal and it hit a low point yesterday when I didn’t leave the house.at.all 😂( work from home ) and couldn’t bring myself to run in the dampness. I wasn’t feeling it and I’m not going to force it 🤷🏻♀️ it’s ok to skip a run. Up and at em early today for 3 miles before @barrysbootcamp double floor, and then 2 miles after. Long run on deck for tomorrow. Quick trip up to Charlotte for a wedding Sunday and then RI for Thanksgiving. Gobble Gobble 🍂🍁🦃 -K #2fabfitchicks#friyay#workout
🌴CHANGE OF SCENERY 🌴
Easy 8 & Strides to commence day ☝🏼 of vaca running ✅ And just putting it out there: easy running in a 40+ degree temp rise is 😰 but leaving the snow covered roads is a welcome change in my book 📕 Happy FRIYAY!! ✌🏼

12 solid miles in today 🙌🏻 and in MotherRunner terms that means 12 miles of PEACE AND QUIET! 😂 two weeks til race day!
This is my husband, Tyler. He inspires me. While balancing a demanding full-time career, he’s pursuing his MBA because he legitimately loves school and loves learning. He’s our son’s BFF and they’re practically twins, since everyone says they look exactly alike. He’s a faster runner than I am; he just got a 4:38 half-marathon PR after his previous half-marathon PR just 3 weeks prior. He takes better race photos than I do, and he always makes me laugh.
STOP 🍓 – read, trust me … #1stPhormEducation
Protein – why is it important? Why is it necessary? When should we have it? Why are shakes great? When is whole food preferred?
Protein is key to fat burn. There is an anabolic state (fat burning) or there is a catabolic state (muscle burning).
I always knew this, but never took it seriously. In this last challenge I have been a lot more aware of my protein intake and I am noticing such a tremendous change.
You want to have protein throughout the entire day (every 2-3 hours) to keep you in that fat burning state. One of the most important times is right when you wake up and that is where the shakes become very convenient for people who are on the go. Whole food is always preferred EXCEPT in that post workout window (that is for another post).
With all of that being said, it is important to note that Level 1 from @1stphorm is a slow digesting protein that will keep you fuller longer. It is high quality and just what you need to get you in the fat burning state. It can serve as a snack or as your breakfast paired with oatmeal or greek yogurt (other options are available too, of course)!
I have had a lot of clients tell me they are struggling and one of the number one issues is the lack of protein in their diet throughout the day. A lot of people are not eating enough food let alone enough protein.
I have spent a lot of time educating myself on the importance of this and I really recommend that you either educate yourself or reach out so I can help!
Hi! I haven’t used this account in a long time, but I’ve decided to start it up again. I miss the Insta running community.
My name is Emily, I attend Kent State University and have been running for 6 years. I took a break (**almost an entire year**) from this account because of many things.
Last summer I studied abroad and took an extended break from running.
I hurt my back at the end of the summer and took some time completely off of running.
Last semester I simply took a break from broadcasting my runs and rediscovering my love for the sport.
But needless to say I’m
Everything physically feels good and I am ready to run again.
P.s Enjoy this throwback picture from the finish of the HoF Half Marathon last April in Canton, OH.
Here’s to the wonderful Instagram running community 🏃♀️🏃🏻♂️ 2.00 miles 9:39/mile this morning

I just may regret this but winter running you are pretty bad ass.
Snowy hill repeats for the win 🔥
Where you bust your ass wondering if you are actually moving at all and when you reach the top you feel the most immense joy while you surf your burning legs back down 💚❄️
Courage is like a muscle, the more you use it, the stronger it gets 👊🏽 👌🏽☺️
Happy Fri-Yay! So excited for Thanksgiving break next week... #sunriserun

HOBBY VS LIFESTYLE
A little under two years ago, I started running regularly as a way to channel stress and to get some “me” time. Somewhere after running my first marathon earlier this year, I fell in love with the sport. My husband even recently commented that my entire casual wardrobe is running related; and he is definitely not wrong. Running now is a way of life for me, my happy place, an activity that makes me feel most fully myself, and my supreme escape mechanism. In short, running has become a lifestyle.
Lots of work to do on this Friday before Thanksgiving but I’m planning on a solid workout later with an easy 5K and strength training. There’s a 15-min @trxtraining workout from @runnersworldmag that I’m dying to try that should work nicely for my schedule.

Silly as it is, I feel totally badass in this LS top from @getonyourmarq. Check out her full range. You can get 15% off with my code JESSICA15 and do something awesome in supporting a women-owned small business, which is my favorite kind of business.
I hated them before I started, but loved them when when I was done. 👊🏽⠀
My fit fam talked me into a 5am get yo butt out of bed check that box right off the bat Friday workout. Something about NO EXCUSES NOVEMBER, I don’t know, I was half asleep. Accountability though...it works, man.⠀
UMMM, Did you see all the snow outside? We got a FOOT of that gross white stuff. ❄️ 😫 #notsurewhyilivehere I’m sticking to my word and not leaving my house unless I have to until March when it’s gone. ✌🏼Biebs and I will just scorch a ton of calories RIGHHHHHHHT HERE bc this mama is NOT leaving the house to drive to a gym or anywhere for that matter. I love that I can stay on track, get BETTER RESULTS & stay warm HERE. 👊🏽⠀
If you need extra accountability to get you through the holidays, come hang with us for a few months- plus 700 workouts are $10 right now. I’ll leave you with that.⠀
Happy Friday my beautiful, friends!! Stay warm & happy shoveling!! ❄️⠀
Five years ago today, I ran my very first marathon. I had no desire what I was doing. I wore @oiselle and a tutu and while I doubt I’ll race in a tutu again, it was the most incredible experience. I had hoped to run under five hours. My training was so bad - I just didn’t know enough and thought that running 20 miles a week would cut it. Spoiler alert, it definitely DOES NOT. I ran 5:27:18 and was so proud to cross that finish line. Four years after that marathon, I ran a 4:14 on a tough day in Berlin, coaching myself. Shortly after that I started working with @beckispell as I moved towards a goal of a sub4 marathon. As most of y’all know, I got sick during @grandmasmarathon and had to DNF. I ran my tenth marathon in NYC two weeks ago for fun, not for time.
When I look at this picture and think about everything that has happened in life and running since this picture, I’m proud. As it turns out, I’m gritty af. I’m ready for more amazing marathon finishes, more adventures, more fun and in 2019...sub4!
Happy Friday y’all! 🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️ #runner#rundc#oiselleteamdmv#oisellevolee#blackgirlsrun#runthistown#womensrunning#bgr#womensrunningcommunity#irunthisbody#werundc#eatprayrundc#runtheyear#betterforit#flystyle#spellmantrained#4breaking4

For the past three days I’ve been in a i-can’t-mom-today kind of mood. It’s the mood where the normal tantrums make the world feel like it’s ending, the whining sounds like nails on a chalk board, the patience you once had is buried 6ft under, the MOOOOOOOOMMY screams make you want to lock yourself in the bathroom and the general dissatisfaction of everyone in the house makes you want to put the kids to bed at 4pm and cuddle up on the couch with your favorite wine. Rushing out the door for runs or running with the stroller didn’t seem to kick the mood so this morning I took it slow. 40 minutes of vinyasa flow in my living room, my book, my coffee. Here’s to hoping this keeps me out of locked bathrooms.... or at least buys me time until appropriate wine o’clock! 🥂 Happy Friday, friends!
So...last night we took our two big boys to The Grinch! Resisting a treat at the movie theater was hard for me, but I did it! I’m learning that my self control is much higher than I give myself credit for, and I want to get to the point where if we go to the movie I can get a “treat” and it will be just that! I had decided ahead of time to not even bring my own snack to prove to myself that I dont need a snack just because we’re at a movie! This was a total #nsv for me, and I’m so glad I didn’t give in! #bookworm#whole30runner#motherrunner#runnernotrunning

This is 30.♥️ .
Started my birthday off by running my age in miles, but had to add a decimal because I’m not crazy enough to run 30 miles...yet. 😜 .
Excited for a new decade, the best is yet to come. ♥️

Couldn’t make it 14 days-back to running it is. I woke up feeling impossibly good and just ready to be in reverse taper/base maintenance mode. No speed or strength runs for the next several weeks, just nice and easy hour long runs between 9:30-10:15 pace. •
Who’s using Strava? I gave it a try today and feeling like there’s a learning curve. My heart rate didn’t sync with my Apple Watch, and -GASP- IT FACTORED IN THE 6 MINUTE PAUSE I TOOK TO RUN TO THE LOCKER ROOM AND TAKE OFF MY ANKLE BRACE AND TAPE!!! Is this a thing? I was surprised to see my run analysis a minute slower per mile after not touching the treadmill speeds. I like this-too often I overlook stop light pauses, bathroom breaks, stops to pet cute dogs, etc. There’s no pause on race day! Is the honesty feature legit or am I just using the app wrong? 😂🙈🤷🏼♀️ •
Happy Friday Fam! Have a great weekend!!!!
Quite possibly the real reason I am a runner. For the chocolate milk after. Those miles aren’t always breezy. The promise of chocolate milk motivates me. Supposedly chocolate milk is the perfect recovery drink. Going on a run gives me freedom. Chocolate milk helps me chase that freedom😂😂. What’s your favorite recovery food/drink/tip?!?! #runnerrecovery#chocolatemilkrecovery#runnermama

What does this mean to you? To me it symbolizes freedom. Running is like therapy for me. Freedom from kids yelling in their yelly voices. Freedom from my phone and constant connectedness. And the freedom to just be me. Just run and be free to live my best life. Now I bet most of you aren’t crazy runners like I am, and something else resets your clock, but what is it friend? #runnerlifestyle#findyourfreedom#manyhappymiles

My running partners. The best two any mama could ever ask for. A stroller that’s like an old friend, I know her movements and quirks so much I can push one handed and steer while I talk imaginary pets and look for cats with my other running partner!! He’s the best one yet. Always willing to go, loves me dearly, and only needs to stop every 7/10’s of a mile to look at something 😂😂😂!!!! #bestrunningfriends#runlikeamother#strollerbuddies
‘Happiness, not in another place but this place....not for another hour, but this hour....’😊👌
This photo is the exact lighting from when it was taken....with the sun making its descent as I ran this afternoon. I’m LOVING that I can run at 3:30pm in the middle of November and be in shorts and a vest! ☀️🧡
I often get asked how I stay motivated and the honest answer is that I’m not always....sometimes my easy runs can feel like a chore - can’t deny it!🙊 But I recently started listening to podcasts during those easy miles and the time flies by and I learn so much. Not only am I getting the miles in, having a huge endorphin fix, looking after my health and fitness, working towards my goals, but I’m also expanding my mind and learning lots on a huge range of subjects....mainly around health, running, strength training, fuelling, injuries aa well as listening to fascinating people talk about their achievements and how they got there. I totally recommend it!🏃♀️🎧 🤓
6 steady miles in the bag!
#blogcamilasarraipo
