“We are fearfully and wonderfully made, and God doesn’t make junk.”
Today’s message was so incredibly impactful. They talked about diversity, acceptance, and respect, and how it effects our society. It was such a powerful message! It’s refreshing for me to start my week with Jesus’ love and encouragement. It always reminds me to SLOW DOWN, because life is hard. I challenge you to practice slowing down in your everyday life, and practice starting your week with a positive outlook on life. ♥️✨
And just like that with one foot in front of the other I completed my first 16 miler of this training cycle. By far my strongest, most relaxed, most consistent 16 @charitymiles for @su2c yet👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Only proof that I’m getting stronger with each passing day. I’m beyond grateful for these legs, this heart and lungs of mine.🙏🏼 ____________
Goal: 16 miles

Second half marathon: 1:45:25 ✅
Any race that ends with pizza is perfect to me! I had SO much fun this morning running the Chicago Half Marathon. I went in with the goal of finishing in 1:45 & that’s what I did! I hit my paces right on & could have even gone a bit faster. I have to admit, I got a little emotional as I ran through the cheering sections & got to see the best most supportive parents ever yelling for me! I even got to give a dog a high five at mile 12! But the best feeling of all? Knowing that this time last year...I never ever could have imagined running 13.1 miles straight—especially at an 8:03 pace. Our bodies are truly amazing! I love running 🏃🏻♀️🍕
Exciting stuff here! Managed to get some meal prep done for the week. Last week I prepped 3 meals and planned the 4th for the day. This week 2 meals are prepped and 2 planned. Excited to try and have 2 FULL WEEKS where both my meals AND my workouts are on target. Usually I can get myself together for one or the other, but not both simultaneously. It's pretty awesome. My energy stays up, my skin stays clear, and my emotions stay balanced. It just makes me feel GOOD. This is either meal 1 or 2 for the day depending how the morning starts. The best part? It's made with eggs from my own chickens and peppers and onions from my garden. Unfortunately, potatoes were a new addition to the growing experience this year and I still have some to learning to do to get a good crop, so these are from the store. Everything else we grew! It's approximately 30g carbs, 13g fat and 15g protein making it the perfect addition to my meal plan. Keep in mind that the fats are good fats and still keep me in my daily goal. Do not fear the carbs or fat! Just be wise in where you consume them. #readyfortheweek#mealprep#knowyourfood#growyourown#fitmom#momofteens#notyouraveragemom#irun#ilift#iworkouttoeat
Y'know, I got just a little bit impatient, actually, frustrated, yesterday as I've been expecting progress on something important to me.
I caught myself getting frustrated with this person and was feeling my blood boil. I stopped for a moment to take a deep breath and remind myself that our lives will unfold as it should and is destined to happen. I also reminded myself that this person is doing the best that they can and they may have so many other things going on that I'm not privy to.
Moral of the matter of the mantra of the masala of the story? BE UNDERSTANDFUL!
In these moments, it takes practice to catch ourselves and more over, correct ourselves. People's world's don't revolve around us. And our frustrations and the feelings and things we tell ourselves are a reflection of our thoughts, not theirs. What do your thoughts say about you? Can you apply more understanding in your day and with some people in your life?
It's easy to practice being positive and cheery when things are good. It takes even more will power to apply this same practice when things aren't so good.
Happy new day (and week), my soulfrennns 🤗
“If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you”
What’s your goal? And I’m not talking about your “maybe I’ll reach it someday but probably not” or the “this is obtainable in a week” goal. What is it that you want to do, that scares you to try, but you are willing to give it your all, regardless of if you fail? This is me chasing my big goal of completing a 5k in under 30 minutes. My current time sits at 30:55 and I know, without a doubt, that I will accomplish this goal, regardless of how many more times I try. Each time I come a little bit closer and every race I attempt to reach my goal and fall short is not a failed attempt. It’s a step in the direction of reaching my long time goal. This is what real transformation looks like. 📍Kirkland, Washington 🌎 (📷: @jenne15) Follow @RunningFervor for more.

Thank you so much!!!
Rather than doing a final long run this weekend, I thought I’d push myself in a half marathon to see where I am in terms of speed and endurance. Well, this race certainly was more of a challenge than I though. The continuous rain and cold air definitely made things hard, but the course was brutally hilly. Absolutely enjoyed myself though and came second overall. .
I ran this race 4 years ago (my first ever half) and it is organised to raise money for #actionagainstcancer - such a good cause and a truly well organised event with excellent Marshall’s around the course! Thank you to all the volunteers who made the race very enjoyable! Got myself a first little prize at a race!! Well done @mapleblack for a very quick time as well! And of course cheers for the picture 😊
I took a couple of days off from running on Thursday and Friday as my Achilles were not too please with me running every day. I did some stretches and strength exercise for the Achilles and rested as much as I could. Went for a tester yesterday and my word what two days rest can do to your body. Feel like a new born runner! 💪🏼😂 - also took a few days off Instagram as I really had to focus on resting and you guys motivate me too much, so if I would’ve been on here I probably wouldn’t have rested haha. Not anyone’s fault but mine, so had to deal with it the hard way!! Definitely missed all of you 😉
Happy Sunday everyone and 2 weeks until @chimarathon - whoop! .
