A bell no longer tolls here at County Clare's Medieval Killone Abbey near Ennis, but the tower still looms in the background as a Celtic Cross marks a grave in the abbey's cemetery. This image appears in my new 2020 Moods of Ireland Celtic Crosses calendar.
This Augustinian Abbey was founded in 1190 as a home for "aristocratic nuns" (think about that one) who handled domestic duties for the monks at nearby Clare Abbey, which was founded at the same time.

Tried something new which is always a bit daunting 🏔
One of my friends has some patches from his trip to some of the American National Parks. I thought they were class and wondered if I could try twist them with a Northern Ireland theme. We have a massive beautiful mountain range: the Mourne Mountains. I thought they would be the best to design and to trail with patches.
So here we are! Lettme know what you think, if you guys like it I may design more and even do a sticker pack :)
Guess what!?.... We are back! ⠀⠀
Whilst we have been burrowed away working on our community website and a lot more that is to come for all of you, what have you been up to? Gone on any photography adventures recently? Bought any cool new gear? ⠀⠀
After quite a while we are back on it! In the time that we have been away there have been a lot of changes with the page as and everything that goes on behind the scenes. A few problems occurred that locked us out of our accounts for over two weeks which was horrible but that is all sorted now!⠀
We also have a brand new logo that ties all our pages together more ascetically. This is a move for us and our pages into the next chapter of what we have in store for you all 😎 ⠀
In the next coming week there will be a few changes including a what we post each day and ways you can be involved! 😍 but most importantly our main focus has been on our website that links every single page we run! It is officially fully launching at the start of next month and more info will follow shortly! But if you haven’t already check it out on our link in our bio and let us know what you think so far 🤩❤️⠀⠀

This summer has to have been one of the weirdest night sky summers, it’s been so hard to get a clear night to look up at some stars. Last night I was messing around with my camera at home and the skies cleared for a little while which was really nice. There were lots of shooting stars all along the place 🌟⭐️ it’s so nice to live in the dark sky reserve, the stars are just so beautiful and bright without a camera
My last evening in Dingle, I attended Eoin Duignan’s concert series at St. James Church. I planned my whole trip around being able to catch a concert here - only Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. I first learned of Dingle when I started watching @othervoiceslive, filmed at St. James, almost 5 years ago. And I’ve dreamed of visiting ever since.
We live in a shallow materialistic world. A world that's sadly driven by money, ego and pride. The older I get, the more it dawns on me that a meaningful life has nothing to do with superficial materialistic objects or self-centered dignity. If money and power are what it takes for you to be happy then you are doomed to a lifetime never ending pursuit of a better existence. Bear in mind that nobody's going to stand at your funeral one day and say "he was such a great man. He had a sweet sports car and a multi million dollar Malibu condo". You're going to be remembered for the memories you've created, and the impressions you've left on others. So don't let money stand in the way of your happiness... .
Ah, Temple Bar. A pretty cool place. It's interesting to think about all the tourists who go to Temple Bar and think that it's an Irish experience. A lot of us (Irish people) actually avoid Temple Bar because it is so expensive! The Temple Bar area is always full of tourists who are on holiday, and happy to be! So, it's not a bad thing. Many people have great days/nights in Temple Bar because of the ever-present 'holiday vibes' around the place. Tourists will go home and tell their neighbours about the pleasant experience they had in Ireland! Yes, a lot of their time may have been spent with Sebastien, Sara and Mohammed, but it was definitely in Ireland! The Irish tourism industry is booming at the moment and I think a big reason for this is the clearly defined 'tourist spots' across the country. What do you think?

DUBLIN GUIDE IS NOW UP!! I'm very excited to share a quick guide on exploring Dublin in two days on the blog. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Curtis and I saw so much in a short period of time. It's such a walkable city, the people are every so friendly, I just love the architecture of the UK, and we lucked out and had a sunny day! So glad I packed a raincoat and umbrella though LOL because it rained 80% of the time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Head over to the link in my profile to check it all out! I'm now wanting to plan my next trip - where’s your next getaway? #alwceurotrip#dublin#alwcdublin#TourismIreland
