What a day... what a day. Stood up at 5 am this morning. With one thing in mind. How the f am I getting out of this place... I was rather uncomfortable I must say. I didn't feel safe. So until 10 am I spent time just trying to comprehend what I had gone through, dried my laundry as much as possible and then writing to new people I could potentially stay with. Someone from Hamburg. Another from Bremen. And some from Cologne.
Then this woman Janina answers and welcomes me home to her place. I was clear that it was outside of cologne in the middle of nowhere, but she wrote that to make sure I was aware. Probably ended up being 6h or so of travel today, but if there was a place I was meant to end up at, it was this. And Janina... she is the best. What a human. We immediately clicked and went straight into the deep stuff in life. What really interest me.
Apartt from that, I had a great breakfast at a cafe&bistro in a calm neighbourhood in Hamburg. It basically lasted me all day. Best freshly pressed orange juice. EVER!
Then I arrived in cologne and the atmosphere in that city compared to Hamburg. Night and day. With the cathedral just next to the train station. People just hanging out and chilling. So if you are to visit a city in Germany, I can already say that Cologne should be high up on that priority list.
Then we took the bus to the middle of nowhere. Then walked to Janina's place out on the county as part of a farm. Only with the light of the moon to guide us. Amazing.
But the craziest thing. The guitar. Here I am, borrowing her friends room. And if there isn't a God damn guitar in it. And not only that... it's left handed!!! Yep, that just happened. So guess who's trying that out in the morning!? I'm glad things worked out. What a day indeed.
