It is only the smallest of the gestures that matter in life. For real happiness can never be found in running after the big things, but the small little gestures of keeping someone's emotions in mind, that touch a person's heart. I have been raised in a family where I have seen my dad give me a card (which he goes looking for months before my birthday actually arrives and give it to me every single year without fail, no matter where I am) exactly at midnight, along with all the other gifts. I wait for it to come every year along with the cake and flowers. Which is why every single year I buy a cake for my own self and cut it with my ngo kids (apart from o all the other cakes I get). Their smile love and laughter makes my day. The small little gifts that I got bombarded with this year, were so very thoughtful and left me overwhelmed, feeling so loved. Some given by my near and dear ones and some by the kids in the ngo (a hand painted card by Tina, a girl aged 12 years) who had drawn it for me and was waiting to give it to me. Having them sing a birthday song aloud to me, all in unison, is a feeling I ll never be able to put in words. Some of you went ahead and gave me post cards. @lavisha205 that was the most beaufiful gift you could have have given me 😘 Some of you who follow me gave me such beautifully written blessings, post cards and collages. To all those of you who gave me so many surprises (whether I am known to you or not) just remember, your gestures were truly, deeply touching. I couldn't have possibly put all the beautiful little things you guys gave me, but still have tried to share a few and I thank you for them from the bottom of my heart😊 I love you guys ❤️ My smile says it all. Just makes me so happy to be surrounded by good positive souls.
Thank You ❤️
no deep ass caption... just appreciate the little things no matter where you are at this moment. we are so focused on leveling up (which is a good thing) that we sometimes take the little things for granted.
