Sometimes - before I am about to draw - I get this sense of dread that I’m not good enough. But after giving it a go, and reiterating over and over, I’m ecstatic with the final product. It is never perfect but every drawing for #inktober gives me that one additional drip of confidence and encouragement that I’m doing something wonderful. #inktobermuddy
#Inktober 23: Muddy.
Okay, so there's relatively little mud in this picture. Also, there's something wacky about my anatomy... 🤔
But. I'm pretty proud of this one. The subject matter is from a story I haven't worked on in years. The girl was about five when she wandered out of the desert, half-dead and with eerily dark gifts. She's twelve when she's pictured here (even though she has a baby face). Let's just say whoever pushed her into the mud is about to learn just how displeased she is.
Let me know what you think! I'm still unfamiliar with this medium, so tips would be greatly appreciated. 😉
Last think I post today I swear. Just thought I should post this. I took my inktober “Muddy” prompt the day it was given to me and colored it. I’m so fucking proud of it, the colors and everything make me feel at home. I think it helped I was on a road trip though the “Back Bone of America” aka, a bunch of boring ass farms.
