I’m so here for this @bellaemywrites 🤗 I’m all about supporting fellow Indie Authors (where my romance writers at?!) Expressing our creativity through writing can be HARD. We have full-time jobs. Full-time families. Life pulling us in a million directions. Writing often takes a back seat to everything else. When that moment strikes (you know the moment — you get an idea for a scene in your head & it’s trying to explode while you keep stuffing it down & try to figure out when the “right time” will come so you can write it all down) we want to drop everything to let it out. Reviewers can be harsh. Society tells us we’ll never achieve Best-Seller status. Our inner demons convince us we’re wasting our time. We need support to chase our dreams, and who better to lift us up than other writers who get it?
Comment below if you’re following & tell me about yourself — where you’re from, what you’re writing, what you’re reading.
It's hard to guard your heart when you want so much to believe in the power of love. However, I will always take chances because that one time I don't, may be the time that I miss out on something that has been destined just for me.

How has your Lent been going? Today is the 3rd Friday of Lent, which means just 5 Fridays left! Not quite halfway through, but pretty dang close.
My Lent hasn't been quite as prayerful as I'd like, and I feel like I've been slacking a little on some of the extra things I'd planned on doing, but this Friday I am taking a step back, a deep breath, and remembering that it is okay to reevaluate and start anew.
I wrote a talk on the crucifixion last week for Brian's Youth Group, and this is something that really struck me: Jesus didn't HAVE to die to save us from our sins. God could have saved us another way. But he CHOSE to save us through the Passion and Crucifixion to show us how deeply he loves us and what true, real love looks like in this broken and sinful world. Hint: it looks like service ... and yes, even suffering. It looks like the cross.
"For what else could have been so necessary to build up our hope, and to free the minds of mortals despairing because of their mortality, than that God show us how highly he valued us, and how greatly he loved us? And what could be more clear and evident proof of God's great love than that the Son of God ... so undeserving of evil, should bear our evils?" -Saint Augustine

(Regardless of what actual systems.. improv elements.. structures.. mentors.. diagrams.. courses.. etc suits your specific writing and mind-style. It is VERY important to create, and place.. lil “safe guard” land mines throughout your writers journey. Mental and spiritual “mine(mindful)fields” 📝💥.
Some safeguards could be: .
-apps for your phone or computer that controls the internet for you..
-Gettin all of your non-writers work done first so that you can fully channel/concentrate (or vice versa)..
-Have all of your “vice/coping/inspiration” materials on hand before you start your writing process.
-Have or find someone (or a small group) you trust to bounce ideas off of before getting yourself stuck in a writing corner (and help them as well)..
-Just to name a few 📝🦋Good luck during the upcoming weekend writers! Through education, experience, tenacity, showing up, and showing out.. you will see your dreams or parts of them physically manifested right before your eyes::time::&space 📝🔮 .
