I seriously can’t believe I am going to post this but it’s #transformationtuesday and I am so incredible proud of myself 😊
The pic on the left is from August 2017. I was so uncomfortable in my own skin and lacked confidence in myself. Heck I didn’t even want my face in the picture!! Fast forward to a few months later and I stepped on the scale and didn’t like what I saw. I went on vacations and enjoyed them, always telling myself that I would get back on track when I returned.
March was a huge turning point for me. I went through some personal things that caught me completely off guard. I cried for weeks and questioned if I was good enough. What did I do to deserve to be in that situation? That’s when I realized that everything happens for a reason. I could have felt sorry for myself but instead I saw it as an opportunity to focus on my health. To take all of that negativity and turn it into motivation. I have lost 27lbs over the last 3.5 months and gained strength both physically and mentally🏋🏻♀️. All the late night gym sessions, hot yoga and double kickboxing classes have finally paid off. Today I completed day 52 of #80dayobsession. This is not my final destination; it’s a lifelong journey that I hope to improve upon over the next few months. Fitness and being healthy is now a lifestyle as opposed to just a diet or quick fix. I didn’t gain all that weight overnight. Patience is key in order to see results.
We are all capable of doing more than we think. If you want to make a change you have to put in the effort. However it doesn’t have to be a bunch of changes all at once!! Simple things like drinking more water, taking the stairs instead of the escalator are all changes that will get you to your goal. Accountability is also key. I joined #ILKB in October and love every singe instructor. They are so supportive, pushing me to my limit and beyond 🥊
My life has changed so much over the last 3 months but I wouldn’t have it any other way. If anyone needs a little motivation or someone to hold them accountable feel free to reach out cause we are all in this journey of life together! You really can do anything you put your mind to 💕
6 months ago, I would look in the mirror with disgust. I was unhappy with myself and finally said enough is enough. I stopped making excuses and invested in a healthier lifestyle. Today I am filled with self love and confidence 💗💪🏼 #myfitnessjourney#ilkb#exercise#istillhateburpees
