#throwbackthursday to the bright boats and houses of Bristol, UK. Enjoyed 4 days in this cool city - some of which were spent staying on a converted barge, pictured here on the far left. Can confirm, was pretty cool, unless you drank just a little too much wine the night before 🤢. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Overall, smashing spot.
If you know me, you know I like to throw quirky accommodation into the mix, so when I heard about @jailhouseaccommodation in Christchurch, I knew I had to stay there. For about $50 USD / night, I booked myself a single cell (dorm rooms are also available from about $20 USD / night so I’ll be staying there, too) and it’s been really fun taking silly “what are you in for?” photos with my fellow travelers, checking out the old cells, and soaking up all the jailbait kitsch I knew I’d find here. It’s pretty great as a hostel, too, with two movie rooms, several spots to curl up with a good book, and TWO pillows in the private cells, a little luxury I didn’t realize I would miss so much. There’s a lot going on in Christchurch so I’m sticking around another week. Stay tuned. #jailhouseaccommodation#christchurch#jaihostel#hostel#newzealand#quirkyplacestostay#kaelitravels#whereintheworldiskaeli#hostellife
Hello MTV welcome to my crib 🏡 I had a pretty terrible day yesterday and I’m having a hard time not letting it influence my mood...any tips?? Maybe if I was at a temple like this again I could find some zen 😂 I’m pretty sure this is a side temple at Chedi Luang (a super big, popular temple) in Chiang Mai, but there are so many temples in that city it was hard to keep track! 🤦🏻♀️ Let me know if I’m wrong!
