I love it when a pattern tells you to make a jumper from the top down. It means you can get really carried away and try it on again and again and again as you go along... in your bathroom. 😂
But ignoring the the self indulgent bathroom mirror selfie, look at my current WIP! I’m so proud of that yoke. I cannot wait to get this off the hook! 🧶 . . .

Good Morning y'all. I (@grderk) will be taking over the convention page today. Enjoy!! 🎉
When @amita.yoga and I first created the Next Gen group we sent out a survey to the next generation, asking, "What first drew you to Iyengar Yoga?" and this image is the amazing word cloud that resulted from those responses. For myself, I was first drawn to yoga to address my back pain and my inability to sleep. I was a premed undergrad student at UCLA working two jobs, one as an emergency medical technician and one as a organ preservationists on UCLA's cardiothoracic transplant team. My jobs and schooling were intense and I wasn't taking care of myself. I knew that this wasn't sustainable and a friend suggested I try yoga for the back pain. After taking just a few yoga classes stumbled into an Iyengar yoga class. I was fortunate to have @marlaapt teaching just a few blocks away from where I lived. As a big anatomy fan, I was immediately drawn into the systematic and intelligent threads being drawn throughout the body. My back pain improved and is now well managed with my own practice. AND I finally could sleep and manage my own stress. It took just a few classes, but I knew I was hooked for life! 💘
