sooooo much has been getting done lately. the electrical is up and running (finally!) and the ceiling will be finished today! minus the painting, anyway. we’re trying to get as much done this week before my jaw surgery on thursday. yup, we decided that having surgery a couple of weeks before we leave was a good move. 🤦🏼♀️ @atomkappel has been killing it and I’m so grateful. as it turns out, I’m not good with a nail gun and the van would have probably ended up being a complete disaster if it was just me. 😂 no doubt he’ll bring his all the next few weeks. 💪🏻
Rio is covered in about 10 inches of snow!! It feels like -27 here today, and I want so badly to work on the bus but it’s too cold. The good news: I’m getting a space heater next week so I’ll be able to get back out there soon.
For now, more work on the blog. I hope you guys like it because I’ve put a lot of work into it so far.
I still can’t believe all of this is real sometimes.
The Toyota HiAce is powered by one of the most reliable engines of its era- the 3L model 2.8 liter naturally aspirated diesel. The cast iron head and block provide enhanced stability, and absence of a turbo keeps the engine from being pushed beyond its mechanical limits. The HiAce features much of the same running gear as the Hilux pickup and 4Runner from the era, allowing for an expanded selection of domestically available parts. The 8” rear end has the option for a limited-slip differential, or a modern aftermarket air-locker for enhanced traction and off-road performance. Our vans receive a 2” suspension lift, providing the clearance necessary to tackle the rough roads these vans were designed to traverse.

Life itself is pretty simple... but nothing great comes easy. We currently work pretty hard to find new clients as freelancers, and then work ever harder to deliver outstanding branding experience.
Even if we really love our VW T4, we aim for a bigger van (Mercedes Sprinter 😍) in the months to come to live full-time in it as digital nomads. Let’s be honest for a second, it takes money to build a home on wheels but it feels so right to save for this! Stay tuned 🧡

We spent all off last weekend priming and painting this trailer and the other trailer in our shop. Hands were hurting and we’ve been sniffling all week from the fumes but this is one of our favorite reveals in the process!
