Six ways to sleep better at night:
1. Take a cold shower in the evening.
2. Have an early dinner, atleast 2 hours before you go to bed. Keep it light.
3. Practice deep breathing exercise (10-15mins) followed by meditation and thanksgiving prayer🙏
4. Maintain a consistent sleeping time .
5. Digital detox at least an hour before going to bed.
6. Sleep in total darkness.

Marijuana has been hailed as a potential weapon in the fight against the opioid epidemic. A 2017 study found that an incredible 93% of patients preferred marijuana to opioids when managing pain. 97% of the group of over 2,800 participants also strongly agreed, agreed that cannabis use enabled them to reduce their opioid intake. 69% of the group stated that they preferred weed to opioids while 70% said the side effects were preferable to those caused by opioids.
Another study analyzed CBD use in 2,400 members. 42% of CBD users said they were able to stop using traditional painkillers such as Tylenol and prescription medication such as Vicodin. 80% said they found CBD to be either ‘very or extremely effective.’
As it turns out, there is no comparison; as comparing CBD to some prescription drugs would be like comparing apples to oranges.
As of now, there are thousands of prescription drugs and hundreds of analgesics (painkillers), although the latter can be broadly grouped into three categories:
* Opioids such as codeine and morphine.
* Non-narcotic analgesics such as Tylenol.
* NSAIDs such as Advil.
These drugs come with dozens of side effects including disability, congenital anomalies and addiction that can lead to death. ‘Regular’ side effects include nausea, dizziness, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation and insomnia. •
According to the FDA, there have been one million deaths due to prescription drug ‘adverse effects’ in the period between 2011 to the middle of 2017.
In contrast, CBD’s side effects are minimal. •
First of all, it is non-psychoactive which means you don’t get ‘high’ and it is relatively safe for most adults to use. While prescription medication blocks pain but does nothing to treat the underlying cause, CBD works with the body’s endocannabinoid system for a more natural cure. It promotes homeostasis in the body by relaxing muscles and reducing inflammation at the site of the trauma.
Unlike opioids, CBD is NOT addictive. Not only are its side effects minimal and mild, but CBD also helps alleviate common side effects of prescription drugs such as nausea and vomiting.

While I so wish that holidays were more like the movies, this will be a day of practicing ❤️ Lots of blended family love, friends, and new connections. It's never easy for me. It's uneasy. Instead of spit shining the whole thing, I will love myself through. What helps is setting the space, picking flowers, decorating, and cooking. Having things to do and be busy with help to ease the tension. If this is you too, a few more hugs:
It's okay to move in and out of the room. You don't have to answer every question asked. You can change the subject. Drink lots of water, I keep an iced tea with me in a pretty mug ❤️ Take time to schmink (my Omi's word for feeling pretty). Pick a favorite outfit. Do it up for YOU. Play your own music, pick your perfect playlist. We got this. Solidarity. Lots of love!
Eat a diet that doesn’t spike your blood sugar. Focus on eating quality, real, whole foods instead of processed, industrial food, sugar, flour, dairy, and meat. Eliminate non-food ingredients in your food. Eat mostly plants – lots vegetables and fruits. This should be 75 percent of your diet and your plate. You should eat 8-10 servings of fruit and veggies a day. Also you should eat legumes, grains and healthy fats - omega 3 fats, extra virgin olive oil, nuts and seeds, avocados, virgin coconut oil. Stay away from refined oils processed with heat, solvents and deodorizers. This means almost all vegetable oils including canola, safflower, corn and especially soybean oil. Stop eating meat and dairy, Eat legumes like beans instead. Soak them and pressure cook them to make them healthier and easier to eat.⠀
