Yesterday I started a 30 days plant based, Mostly a vegan diet except eggs. I cannot give up on them. Maybe I will keep this way of eating, who knows. This is a way of detoxing naturally, there’s amazing benefits to detox, like reducing inflammation which is the primary cause of all sickness and cancers. The boost of energy, and slimming down some pounds.! As well I do it to alight with the universe and all the goodness it has to offered me. 🙏🏽✨😁🦋

Meaning companies can make claims without any real backing. & that also means that just because a product is on the shelf, it doesn’t mean it’s completely safe for you to use.
Fact: Canada has banned around 600 questionable & harmful ingredients. The European Union banned 1,400. US? A mere 30. Yep, no digits missing...just 30.

I spent the day at Padstow today, where I had (yes another!🙈) gf cheese & onion pasty from Padstow Pasty Co & then a gf turkish delight ice cream in a CONE😍😍 They were very knowledgable & the cones came individually wrapped to avoid cross contamination 😊👌🏼

It’s important to accept and love your body at every stage.
Whether you are super lean and shredded or even when you are a bit fluffier. ALWAYS remember to respect and love the body that you are in.
Weight gain can be a scary thing sometimes but it’s normal, life happens, and we all experience it.
It can be uncomfortable but it’s also exciting when you can lift heavier and use the extra food to fuel your workouts.
It gives me something to look forward to. Knowing that I have the power to change my physique however and whenever I’d like is fun and is always a challenge.
With that being said I decided to ditch the scale for a bit for my own mental health and sanity.
I’m focusing on how my body looks and feels instead of solely focusing on the number on the scale and I already feel an instant relief.
Your body composition does not define you. You are more than that. You are beautiful no matter what size or shape ❤️

You can do things one way, but it doesn’t mean it is the only way.
Once you know how to do something you are unlikely to consider new pieces of information, your mind dismisses them saying “I already know this”.
But imagine if you allow your mind to be open instead of closed.
Allow the new info to pour in, play with it, try it out.
I am applying this more and more to my asana practice and my teaching, practicing from a place of awareness and engagement.
Find something new in every old pose. Try it out. You’ll get deeper than you thought. <3

Are you nervous about lifting weights in the gym? Don’t be! I have 4 amazing tips on how strength training can change your life!
1. You lose 40% more fat! Lifters lose pure fat while cardio junkies lose muscle and fat. People who exercise and do not lift weights for their weight loss plan, lose muscle along with their fat, making it more likely they will gain it back.
2. Burn fat while at rest. Your muscles need energy to repair themselves, your metabolism is elevated 39-42 hours after a training session. One circuit of strength training can incinerate 159-231 calories in 8 minutes! That is the equivalent of running for about 20 minutes...boring!
3. Keeping your body looking young and gorgeous! When you age, your fast twitch muscle fibers decrease by 50%, slow twitch muscle fibers decrease 25%. Using those fibers in training (explosive movements for fast twitch muscle fibers,) will strengthen your muscles, keep bones strong and your tendons supported so you can get off your rocker and not fall over when you’re 59!
4. Cut risks for diabetes, cancer and not to mention, cut your risk of stroke by 40% (by reducing diastolic blood pressure by 8 points).
