Last night’s taco bowl was an unplanned, last-minute throw-together when I was already hungry and rounding the corner to hangry. Truly the worst time to be deciding on dinner. But, it all came together quickly, and, even though I didn’t realize it until everything was done, it ended up being completely overt fat free, since I was rushing and forgot to put cashews in the dressing or avocado in any part of it. In the bowl: lime cilantro cauliflower rice, spicy sweet potato, water sautéed mushrooms, and a tomato/mango/black bean salsa, all on a bed of chopped butter lettuce and topped with cilantro dressing. It was delicious and kept me from turning into a monster, Hulk-style.
When we drop out of the chaos of our minds and step into our hearts... there is no fear...there is only peace and only from that space resides the answers we seek. It is only in the stillness of the present moment can we access gratitude and start to manifest our goals.

🥗rustic roasted fall bowl🥗 ft. roasted delicata squash, roasted brussels sprouts, roasted asparagus, and cubed persimmons😍 I tried to use mostly veggies and fruits that are in season right now and it came out SO good! if you haven’t tried delicata squash, it’s absolutely delicious🤤 just slice it up, dress with coconut oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper at 400 degrees for 30 min❤️ plus the seeds are edible so don’t be afraid!

The first time I was able to vote was 10 years ago in the 2008 general elections. I remember that the three of us, (my mother, my father, and I), were so excited that I was going to vote with them that day.
We waited for my mother to get home from work and then we all went to the polls together. We put in our votes and then we went out for frozen yogurt to celebrate. Afterwards, we went home and watched the coverage all evening.
I didn’t realize that this memory was such a treasured one until it snuck up on me. The last elections my mother was alive for were in 2016 and although I did vote, the elections were the furthest thing from my mind at the time because I was watching my mother deteriorate in front of me. With the lead up to this year’s election day, I started to feel really heavy. Not only because of the current events leading up to the day but because this day was also going to be an event day, and I didn’t even know it.
As a political junkie, I consumed all of the news leading up to the elections, did my homework on my practice ballot, and just counted down till the day of. As the day got closer, I got heavier and fatigued. I anticipated some of this but didn’t expect the full blown reality of the heaviness.
Yes, there are a multitude of issues that brought me down but in reflection, I can now see it was that I terribly missed my mother’s presence during election time. I missed being able to discuss the issues with her, I missed her advice gained from her life’s experience, I missed being able to run to her looking for comfort in these trying times.
My memory from 10 years ago is sweet and I want to think not so bitter. I’ll remember us sitting on the couch together and watching the president elect give his victory speech. I’ll remember us smiling and laughing together on that day. I’ll remember feeling safe in both my parents’ embrace as we celebrated a milestone together.
This is Grief.
Ohhh oregano oil is used a lot in our house around this time of year! 😷
Read below for 10 ways to use this beautiful, super beneficial oil!
1. Spaghetti sauce. One drop of oregano oil in a huge pot of homemade spaghetti sauce is all you need. A little goes a LONG way!
2. Chest congestion. During the season, my house smells like an italian restaurant because we all swear by oregano – just mix a couple of drops of oregano oil with a carrier oil like coconut and rub it on your chest and bottoms of feet.
3. You can also put 2 drops of oregano in a veggie capsule and take it internally to help reduce the symptoms from colds and flus
4. Did you know that oregano is a natural pesticide? Mix it with some water in a spray bottle and spray in your gardens to safely keep those insects away!
5. Oregano is a great solution for reducing the pain from toothaches.
6. Because oregano oil is what is called a “hot” oil, it works really well on plantars warts. If you have sensitive skin, try it first with a carrier oil like fractionated coconut oil.
7. Same thing goes for skin tags! Oregano works awesome in just a few applications. Put a drop or two on a Q-Tip and apply directly to the skin tag – repeat it every day until the skin tag falls off.
8. Oregano is also awesome in the diffuser to help battle respiratory issues. A couple of drops in the diffuser is enough!
9. Oregano oil is a must-have for women. Drinking ginger tea or chamomile tea with a couple of drops added can help to regulate menstrual cycles – Wait, there is more! Got cramps? Try mixing a few drops with a carrier oil and rubbing it directly on your lower abdomen.
10. HAND SANITIZER! Yup, oregano oil is a great natural sanitizer. Just a drop on your palms and rub together!

Hace poco encontré un ejercicio de la hermosa @krystalaranyani que se llama "mirror gazing" o "mirando al espejo" que me gustó mucho. •
La idea es que te sientes frente al espejo, y te mires a los ojos, repitiendo "eres un ser divino, eres un ser hermoso, yo te amo". Después de esto, mira tu reflejo por 3-5 mins... de verdad apreciate, mírate a los ojos y conecta con tu interior, con tu alma, con tu ser. Mientras haces esto, piensa en todas las cosas que has logrado hasta el momento, cosas que hayas hecho de las que estés [email protected], cosas que te hacen ser ú[email protected], partes de ti que ames, y a las que no ames tanto, regalales aprecio en este momento. •
A veces la conexión que tenemos con nosotros mísmos se rompe, y nos perdemos, nuestra identidad se debilíta, y es momento de volvernos a conectar. Sometimes in life joy seems to escape us for a myriad of reasons. How then can we reconnect with a sense of joy or delight in life? I’m talking about that gut wrenching, barrel roll laughing glee that eases our soul into contentment, and yes IT IS POSSIBLE. Some tips to tap into that JOY: taking stock in the smalls things, fostering those interpersonal relationships to create CONNECTION, and taking a leap of faith to try new things (NOVELTY). Even if it feels impossible to reconnect with joy, it’s important to remember that small actionable steps matter. I’m rooting for you!

I find most women have some kind of voice similar to this running in their head on replay.
Who do you think you are to create this?
Who do you think you are to lead this?
Who do you think you are to make this much or charge this much?
Who do you think you are to wear this or want that?
Looking through old notes from the 12 month training I'll soon complete in integrated sexuality, one of my random favorite notes from a group phone call was on this very thing...
"Who does she think she is?"
"She's a wild woman who masturbates her way to success."
Because, here's the key. She/you/me, we're going to become whoever we think we are.
And so when that voice in your head throws this question at you, don't shy away from it. Don't let it shut you down or shut you up. Don't resist it.
Answer it, my love. Tell it who you are.
Tell it who you are every time it asks.
A wonderful daily practice is to take 2-3 minutes to answer this question out loud or in writing each morning knowing what lies ahead for you in your day. Riff on who you are to be doing, having, creating, wanting, leading,...whatever your day and life holds.

This shrimp fajita mix was SO easy.. like 10 minutes easy.. and cheap. You know how I like it🤷🏻♀️😜 Recipe:
1. Preheat sauté pan with coconut oil.
2. Slice 3 bell peppers into bite size peices.
3. Toss into sauté pan and leave on medium heat.
4. Add chili powder, cumin, Trader Joe’s lime chili salt, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and salt to your liking (the more the better in my opinion).
5. Add precooked shrimp, about 1 lb is what I used.
6. Sauté until peppers are soft and flavors are all mixed together well.
7. Serve with a spritz of lime and cilantro. Enjoy!
It is only important that you know what you are doing.
Don't try to please anyone.

This causes changes in our body, not just physical changes such as the healing of disease or ailments, but immaterial and internal ones as well, such as believing in oneself more, the growth of love, and the aspiration to grow into more wisdom. Really, there is no separation between the internal and the physical, they move together as one under the leadership of our mental contents.
