Lara and Emily are both having fun in the #kidslovejordan project 🦷 😬 Lara’s second tooth is almost out now and taking care of teeth from the beginning is important to us. Emily is going through a “do it myself” phase, so we’re encouraging her to brush her teeth for a full 2 minutes herself under our guidance (where we would normally do a brush after she had). A big bonus is the “yummy berry” flavour Of the Jordan toothpaste, according to Emily 🧡 #raisingtwolittles

The Children’s Dental Health Center wishes you a Happy Easter spent with family and friends (and maybe a little candy)!
Starting my morning with a healthy and delicious açaí bowl with raspberries, kiwi and blueberries. I can’t wait to brush my teeth with #Pronamel Intensive Enamel Repair toothpaste afterward to strengthen and repair my enamel from damage that is caused by everyday acidic foods. Citrus fruits, juices and carbonated drinks can weaken your enamel without you even knowing, so I make sure to use Pronamel Repair to keep my teeth healthy, stronger and better protected. #ad

Here’s a great video showing all the parts that go into wearing a face mask. First an expander is placed to widen the upper jaw. Then rubber band elastics are used to connect it to the face mask. The forces applied help bring the upper jaw forward. This is usually most effective on children!
Getting veneers revolves around customization. We placed 6 upper porcelain veneers to redefine the patients smile by making minor adjustments! 😷 #smileperfector

This patient was born with peg laterals and she had bonding completed by another dentist. The bonding was constantly discoloring and fracturing, and since her teeth had shifted over time and she had a space, she opted to have 4 porcelain crowns/veneers to close the space, make the teeth more proportional, and have a longer lasting permanent restoration. .
She also had some gum contouring completed with a laser to create a more harmonious smile. Notice how natural and beautiful the 4 crowns/veneers look next to her adjacent teeth. .
Composite bonding can be great for many cases, but a more esthetic, longer lasting option is porcelain veneers. Many people ask how you’re supposed to take care of them, and to be honest, they act very much like natural teeth once they are permanently put in. So that means brushing AND flossing daily, and getting cleanings with your hygienist SEVERAL times a year (2-4 times a year whether or not you have veneers). If you have questions, I’m happy to answer them below in the comments ⬇️

Grinding and clenching can cause severe damage to your teeth. You can see in the top photo how the teeth are severely worn down, and have lost their natural shape. .
The goal of this #MakeoverMonday was to remove the dull, lifeless composite veneers, restore the length of teeth, create a beautiful and more natural looking smile, and restore function for this young lady using a mix of crowns and porcelain veneers. .
Notice how natural her smile looks, notice the enhancement in the shape, size, and color! Her smile is so pretty, and she looks like she was born with those teeth! That’s what it’s all about! Creating a smile that looks natural for the patient! A smile that stands out but blends in at the same time😷 #missionaccomplished
