Il reflusso gastro-esofageo consiste nella risalita di cibo dallo stomaco all’esofago. I sintomi più comuni sono sensazione di nausea o vomito 🤢, bruciore alla gola, difficoltà di deglutizione, tosse o raucedine, singhiozzo, asma, dolore toracico, otite media. Spesso si associa al bruciore di stomaco, la cosiddetta gastrite. .
Per prevenirlo è opportuno adottare uno stile di vita sano, ma nel caso si dovesse comunque presentare vi ho riportato alcuni accorgimenti da seguire in fase di reflusso “acuta”. Alcune sono norme che si dovrebbero seguire sempre come l’evitare di sdraiarsi dopo i pasti, di consumare cibi troppo grassi, fritti o salati, di fumare.. Poi ci sono degli alimenti che possono peggiorare il reflusso e vanno quindi eliminati finché il disturbo persiste: tra questi pomodori 🍅, menta 🌱, agrumi 🍊, cioccolato 🍫 e caffè ☕️. Infine sarebbe opportuno prestare attenzione alle fonti che ci causano stress cercando di evitarle per quanto purtroppo non sia sempre possibile 🤭

Overnight Oats 😋😍 Breakfast!!!! It’s fast becoming the most important meal of the day, for me anyway, as I would skip this and not eat till about 11/11.30 keeping myself topped up with coffee until then. Since my telling off, I have been having breakfast as soon as I get in from the school run about 9 ish and have cut back on the coffee. I’ve noticed such a difference on training days and on non training days to be honest. More energy and I’m more focused on what I’m doing in and out of the gym.
This is my absolute favourite because it’s got peanut butter in it 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻. It literally takes about 5 mins to prep and will keep in the fridge for up to 5 days after you’ve made it! I keep my peanut butter jars and use these for individual servings!
Plonk all this into a bowl:
A cup of rolled oats
One and a half cups of Almond Milk - but you can use any milk you like
One MASSIVE table spoon of peanut butter - I use @morrisons smooth peanut butter as it has no palm oil in it and it’s only £1.87 👊🏼 or use any nut butter you like
Teaspoon of chai seeds (optional)
A good squeeze of Agave Nectar - or you can use honey or maple syrup
I use cups as it so easy instead of using scales and weighting everything. If you haven’t got a set - Poundland do them - you can use a mug.
Mix it all up and then pour into the jar put the lid on tight and pop in the fridge - easy as!! Little tip: I pour mine into a measuring jug as it’s easier to get in the jars without spillage 👍🏼The above will get you two jars full so double up if you are going to do them for a few days. In the morning top it with any fruit you like - I love mine as shown or with banana 🍌😊 First time I’ve photographed my food! Behind all of the great things I’ have experienced this year, I have been struggling with constant menstruation since March this year. I’d like to think I’ve been pretty positive about it all, but there have been a few outburst of pure frustration. I was told by a gynaecologist to ‘just go on the injection’ in which I told her no because I want to fix the problem not cover it up.🤦🏼♀️

”Beef – Beef is widely recognized as the most climate-damaging of all foods. A 2017 study by the Natural Resources Defense Council on food consumption in the US calculates that each kilogram of beef produces 26.5 kilograms of CO2 emissions -- the highest among all the foods observed in the study, and five times more than chicken or turkey meat. Reducing beef consumption is an effective way of curbing global emissions. But why is beef so bad? "The feed is largely produced using lots of pesticide and fertilizer, which requires fossil fuels," explains Sujatha Bergen, one of the authors of the study. "Also, the digestive system of the cows produces methane, which is 25 times more potent a greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide. And the manure emits additional greenhouse gases."
Lamb – For each kilo of lamb meat consumed, there are 22.9 kilos of emissions, the NRDC study estimates.
Meat production also requires large amounts of animal feed, mainly the resource-intensive corn and soy. The synthetic fertilizer and the manure used to grow these also releases nitrous oxide, a climate-warming pollutant 298 times more powerful than carbon dioxide.
Butter – The third most damaging food, by some distance, is butter: one kilo of butter equals nearly 12 kilos of CO2 -- about half as many as beef. It belongs to the same supply chain, making dairy and beef cattle an environmentalist's nightmare.
Shelllfish – Shellfish costs the environment 11.7 kilos of CO2 for every kilo of food produced, just marginally less than butter” - Source: www.CNN.org

Who doesn't love French toast mornings? 🤗 Try this simple recipe with white or whole wheat bread. Make sure to occasionally mix the mixture because the sugar tends to stay at the bottom. I used butter instead of oil to make these French toast savory! 🐝

Anyone else easily emotional and sluggish around this time of year??🙋🏼♀️
Typically, this cold, dark time of year always takes a little more energy for me stay happy, healthy and energized.. but by creating a healthier relationship with myself, I’ve been able to shift my mindset.
Instead of looking at this season as something we have to endure, look at it as a new beginning.
Things are clearing out of my life (the warmth being one of them), but new energy is also entering💫
...So this is the time to prioritize self care and self love.
I feel the best when I eat real, wholesome foods.. I never count calories or restrict myself, but I also don’t eat the processed junk. Long story short, I eat a lot of plants, fruits, tempeh, tofu and rice.
It’s also important to stay in touch with your passions. Find what you love to do.. what makes time fly by. For me, it’s always been creating. I love making art and jewelry. I love going to little shops and outdoors to find crystals and rocks. It’s great to work towards your passions during these times when you’re cozied up indoors a lot.
What’s most important to remember, is to never judge yourself. We are human. This is our human experience. Welcome ALL emotion with open arms and an open heart.
I don’t believe that happiness is bliss 24/7,
but it is within us. Along with the self worth and self love we are searching for.. True Happiness is feeling all feelings. Being able to acknowledge when WE are creating our own problems, and being able to cry out and get help if needed.

Exercise When Do you See Results? 💪🚀💥✌ I usually tell people it takes four to six weeks to see results. The first two to three weeks there's generally a lot of soreness for a few days after a workout. A week or so later, the soreness isn't as bad and you canrecover more quickly. That's also when people start feeling stronger.
Plenty of people tout the benefits of early morning sweat sessions, but if you can't fit in a workout before noon, don't sweat it. Research suggests the body could adapt to regular gym dates, so if we hit the weight room every day at 4 p.m., eventually we might perform better at that time than at any other time of day.
