I’m trying to be the best mom I can to the best little (almost) adults I know. Some days are rough, more than rough, they are sometimes on the border of a nervous breakdown... BUT...
They are watching. And you know what they see?
A mom who’s willing to do what it takes to be well. Physically, emotionally, and mentally. They see a mom that has anxiety and goes to counseling so she can help counsel other people who need her at work. They see a mom who’s tired from getting up at 3am, but she still works out instead of takes a nap. They see a mom who’s furthering her education to support the family she loves. And most of all... they see a mom who LOVES every single piece of herself. Flaws and all.
And I know that what I’m doing is helping shape who they are. 100%.

For the majority of people, family and friends are their #1 priority, as well they should be 👍🏼
Work has to be up there too. Gotta pay for stuff, unfortunately😒
The third is where we start having more choice. Some people have more responsibilities and have to factor those in but most people can designate a few hours to something. That can be a hobby, reading, watching TV, playing video games OR it can be exercising and organizing their nutrition
With the number of benefits that exercise and eating properly has and how much of an impact it can have in all facets of life - it should be a no brainer. If you have a goal of losing weight then this definitely has to be number 3 on your list
That doesn’t mean you can’t watch TV or read. Not at all. Reading, TV or relaxing are important too because they reduce your stress. I assure you that there will be time for that - after your workout and have your meals planned 😊
The only way to have real, lasting results is to consistently prioritize exercise and proper nutrition. Dieting or working out for a week or 2 won’t do much. It has to be a top 3 priority forever...Just like spending time with family and going to work

Is there anything better then cookie dough?! These cookie dough chocolate covered bites! These are a healthy alternative to regular sugar, diary and gluten packed cookie dough. They are grain free, dairy free and refined sugar free. 🍪
Paleo Cookie Dough Bites
3/4 cup of almond flour
2/4 cup coconut flour
1 tsp vanilla extract
Dash of cinnamon
3 tbsp honey
1/4 tsp himalayan salt
1/4 cup choc chips, I used @Lily’s_sweets_chocolate
1/4 cup choc chips
1 tbsp of coconut oil
1 tsp of cacao powder
These are so easy to make. Just combine cookie dough ingredients together, roll into tbsp size balls, place on parchment and put them in the freezer for about 30 minutes to harden a little. Then on a double broiler, add the chocolate coating ingredients. Constantly stir until fully melted. Take the chocolate off the heat and grab your cookie dough balls. One at a time, place the balls in the bowl of melted chocolate and spoon the chocolate over them till they are fully coated. Then I sprinkled different toppings on top of each ball before the chocolate melted. I used coconut flakes, salt cacao powder. Place back in the freezer for another 30 minutes to let the chocolate harden. And enjoy! You can store these in the fridge or freezer. These are 100% delicious and definitely a must try! ✨

How do you find balance with going to an event / dinner party / Christmas do where’s there’s delicious food, drinks and all sorts of treats without feeling like you can’t have any of it ?!.
.What I do is ENJOY it, eat the treats and drink the drinks I enjoy the meal that’s brought out in front of me because at the end of the day life’s all about living !.
.BUT...in order to enjoy the finer things I make sure that every other meal that day is healthy, clean, gut friendly and works with my IBS. I also exercise more, if I know I’ve got a big event on a big walk, a strength session or barre class is essential! Create a healthy balance so you don’t have to worry about indulging in a few treats here and there, live your life with out worrying about every single calorie and macro nutrient - enjoy that night out, enjoy that lunch, make the most of your treat meals so you appreciate them more 🙌🏼

Walnut Coconut Cake 🍰 🥥 🌴
3 organic eggs ( vegan option: 3 tsp ground flaxseed + 9 tbs water)
1/2 cup honey (vegan option: maple syrup )
1 1/2 TigerNut Flour @organicgemini
1/4 arrowroot flour
1/3 coconut flour
3/4 chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/3 coconut oil, melted
1/2 cup warm water
1/4 cup dry coconut flakes
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
3. In a medium bowl, mix together the eggs, honey, coconut oil, water and vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
4. In a large bowl mix all dry ingredient except the walnuts.
5. Pour wet ingredients into bowl of dry ingredients and mix until smooth. Finally, add 1/2 cup walnuts and mix until well combined.
6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread the remaining walnuts and coconut flakes evenly on top.
6. Bake 30 minutes. Remove from oven and cool 10 minutes.

No, it’s not the same as coffee and I don’t think it ever will be for me. Coffee is an experience like non other and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss it - I miss the shit out of it! ☕️ ☕️
I will say this, it’s extremely nice not being dependent on it. My mornings and vacations would revolve around having/finding that aromatic cup of pure joy (super big coffee snob over here) & I loath Starbucks, the coffee taste metallic. I also loath the word loath - completely unrelated, moving on! 🙃
I’ve spent the past few year giving up a lot of things I’ve been dependent on and let me tell you, that shit isn’t easy! If you can fight through, it’s truly a beautiful things to experience just how mighty you really are!
The next few months I’ll be slowing introducing things back into my diet & yes, coffee will be one of them. I have no idea if I’ll go back to drinking it every morning but what I do know is, I have the ability to quit it at any time if I ever have to! 💪🏼

(Mental Health Awareness)
I received a message a week or so back that really bothered me to my core. It read, “I know you don’t but it seems like you have the perfect life.”
I’ve always tried to be open with you (my followers) about my own struggles whether in fitness, mental health or life in general. But I’ll be honest I still have a hard time sharing the lowest lows. And I think that’s human nature we want to seem like we have our shit together through the hardest times.
This last year has been the worst of my life. Plain & simple. Don’t get me wrong I’ve had some incredible highs, successes and amazing memories. But I’ve also dealt with major depression, relapse of my eating disorder & many personal battles.
The 2nd photo I took after a photoshoot in June of this year. A friend had snap chatted me asking how my photoshoot went & that was my response. I remember laying on my bathroom floor for 2hrs crying uncontrollably. I felt so lost & broken. But behind the lens you wouldn’t have known during my shoot.
Fast forward to the 1st photo from a week ago before another photoshoot and again I look seemingly happy. But a few days before this photo I felt hopeless and my depression had taken over. I was on the edge.
I don’t tell you this for pity or sympathy. I want you to know that social media is smoke in mirrors. And what you see isn’t always what you get. Some of the strongest people hide the darkest secrets. A smile and a filter can hide so much. But just KNOW that you are NEVER alone. No matter how picture perfect someone’s life seems to be on social media, I promise you they still bleed red like you and I. And they are still human. Life still bites them in the ass just like you and I.
Whatever you are struggling with no matter how big or small. Reach out to someone. Your life is valuable, because you are valuable.
