The Hang Power Clean, other than the deadlift and snatch variations the clean would be one of my favourite exercises to do!!
The Hang Power Clean uses mainly muscles from the back and shoulders but still incorporates movement from the hips in helping to initially drive the bar up. The Hang Power Clean is a great way to introduce Cleans to a beginner before moving onto squat Cleans etc.

I haven’t been very active on here the last few days. I really haven’t been feeling too well 🤒🤧 didn’t end up making it to the gym & haven’t been eating the best but I’m feeling better and setting myself up for a successful week! which includes grocery shopping 🛒 here’s this week’s aldi haul. excited to try this cauliflower crust pizza 🍕

Here is the bottom line:
If you can't see you abs and your trainer/coach is telling you that you need to gain more fat to "bulk up" to get strong then he or she either: -Doesn't know what they are talking about.
-Or he/she are purposely trying to sabotage your future health.
THE FOLLOWING IS RESEARCHED FACT: "During childhood and adolescence fat cells can increase and decrease in number, but remain constant after we move into adulthood.
If you are obese as a teenager when the body adapts to its preferred fat cell numbers, this is likely to result in a greater number of fat cells in adulthood and a potential life-long weight struggle.
The number of fat cells increases during weight gain and the consensus among researchers is that fat cell numbers DO NOT DECREASE, NOT EVEN WITH PROLONGED WEIGHT LOSS.
So a one time weight gain can create life-long weight issues"

Coaches/trainers advising their clients (males 10% BF or greater/females 15% BF or greater) to gain more fat to "bulk up" in order to get strong or for a transformation show are doing their clients a disservice and potentially ruining their chances of ever having a toned, fit body AND ULTIMATELY CONTRIBUTING TO THE OBESITY EPIDEMIC!
As a naturl bodybuilding competitor/pro-fighter and Australian ninja warrior I have been a trainer/coach in the fitness industry for 10 years.
My goal with each and every client is to push them towards their goals safely while improving their general health.
Now it is true that when shredding for a bodybuilding comp I'm not smashing my PB's (and thats getting onstage at 5-8%).
Once the comp is completed I slowly reload my body with carbs(from natural food sources)and water and my BF% returns to around 10-12% over time.
At 10-12% I weigh 85kg.
At 85kg I can bench press 100kg for 10 reps, I can do 9 or 10 handstand pushups off the wall, I can deadlift 150kg, squat 130kg and perform 15-20 pullups consecutively.
I AM CONTINUALLY GROWING STRONGER, SMASHING MY GOALS without any of this bullshit fat bulking which is nothing but an excuse for a mindset that is too weak to stick to a clean eating plan.

WHAT A MORNING 🤩🤩🤩 This is why we train outside ✌️ Well this and the fresh air, the swims afterwards, the positive effect on your mental health being outdoors has, ... I could go on. BUT - WHAT A BEAUTIFUL WAY TO START THE WEEK 🙌
A dream written down with a date becomes a goal. A goal broken down into steps becomes a plan. A plan backed by action makes your dreams come true.

You know the drill peeps. It’s another Sunday, spent getting ready for a week of GAINZZZZ 💪🏼
On the menu this week:
- Niçoise salad: tuna, hard boiled eggs, boiled baby red potatoes, castelvetrano olives, cherry tomatoes, and green beans.
- Wheat berry, bell pepper, corn, cucumber salad with baked chicken
1. For the Niçoise salad, the tuna hasn’t been added and is just in a single serve packet for maximum freshness and easy transportation
2. Wheat berries are delicious and chewy and if you haven’t tried, I highly recommend. Especially if your looking to spice up your grain game.
3. I ran out of Tupperware so if anyone know any good glass containers, let me know 🙃
