Thanks @gaynervl for sending me this yesterday. It means a lot. ❤️ Moving a lot like we do comes at an extremely high price. People are always telling you that you're so lucky but there's nothing lucky about not having roots or being able to raise your kids in one town, not having your friends or family around in a new place.
We've always moved to be closer to hubby in order to see him more. So moving was not always optional but more of a necessary evil. Due to hubby's job we had him home for ONLY 5⃣ weeks out of 52 in 2018 which makes the choice of packing up our lives in Cape Town and relocating to Mauritius a moot point.
Over the years we've been blessed with adventures and loads of memories but we are poorer for it for not having lifelong friendships and a village to help when life gets tough. Starting from scratch in each new place is often hard, often very lonely, often a challenge.
I am extremely grateful for the friends I have made on my way through all the moves as there were a few definite keepers, 😜 some friendships spanning over the years years and distances thanks to social media helping us keep in touch. ❤️ This was not our first move and I'm convinced it's probably not the last. ❤️ #womaning101#thereslifeafterkids#relocating#momlife#hectic#hard#noteasy#moving#sayinggoodbye#newbeginnings#newchapter#newhome#newadventures#comesataprice#mauritius#islandlife#momblogger#samom#instagram#quotes❤️ #memes
