I’m challenging myself to use my hands in different ways other than making cards...also I just wanted to use a different medium. And...I need trip-worthy projects for awhile. This is a trial sweater from the new Seamless Knit Sweaters in 2 Weeks, by #mariegreene of #oliveknits . I don’t promise to be done in two weeks from my start date, but we’ll see. Yarn: #lionbrandyarn Jeans in Topstitch. Pattern: Stowaway Chevron Pullover from the above book. If I like how this turns out, I’ll make another sweater using #knitpicks wool. #handknit#100dayproject
I know I’ve been super quiet on here lately, but stuff has been happening, I promise. Life and my day job have been pretty crazy lately, and I haven’t gotten around to taking photos of my finished objects.
However, I do finally get to announce this new pattern by my girl, @firebrunetteknits! I test knit her #muffintophat using my Smoked Salmon colorway in fingering weight. Held the yarn double to obtain gauge. Plus, it was only a one skein project. 🙌. Absolutely love 💕 how it came out..
You can pick up my Smokey collection only @creationstationks and all other yarns @creationstationks@thewoolmarketanddiyschool & @freedomfibersict. LYS Day is coming up on the 27th, so go support them and your favorite designers too. .
Chauntel’s link to this pattern is on Ravelry, or you can copy and paste below. 👇
Sampson approves of my latest shawl shape experiment.
I love the look of asymmetrical triangle shawls, but I hate wearing them! I find them so hard to style because of the long end and the short, stubby corner from the bind off edge.
So...I set off on a journey to fix the problem! I think I found a solution. I tested out my theory by making a mini shawl, which Sampson is modeling. I'm excited to implement this more wearable asymmetrical triangle shape in some new shawl designs.
(For all you worriers out there, Sampson wore it for a minute and he was purring the whole time. While he appears to love wearing stylish shawls, he knows he only may while his favorite human is around to supervise and make sure no harm will come of it.)
