BARBELL BENCH PRESS VS DUMBELL BENCHPRESS🧐
The barbell bench press is the classic move that you'll see fitness enthusiasts doing in the gym. It's also featured in sports such as powerlifting and football as a test of upper-body strength.
When you compare it to the dumbbell press, the barbell variation can use more weight — and that's a benefit to you. Because the bar is fixed, there is less stability required to complete the lift allowing the main muscles of the chest, shoulders and triceps to exert more force. From a pure strength gain perspective, this is key.
While the dumbbell bench press is limited in the amount of weight that can be utilized when compared to the barbell bench press, this variation offers a few benefits the barbell bench press does not.
First, the dumbbell bench press requires more stability at the shoulder and shoulder girdle, which helps to strength the stabilizer muscles.
Lastly, the dumbbell bench press does not require a spotter as if failure is achieved with the exercise, the dumbbells can simply be dropped to the side without the worry of being caught under the bar.
To perform the dumbbell bench press, complete the same steps as the barbell bench press but there is no need for a spotter.

Honestly when @drip_fit came out I wasn’t super convinced as to what the point was.. but after using it, not so much for what most people are using it for (which is rubbing the cream on and putting the belt over top of it to get a ridiculous sweat). For me it was for the massive improvement with circulation!! I just rub it on the surrounding area I am going to be working that day before I head to the gym and have gotten massive improvements:
Staying warmer (which sucks in winter)
Better blood flow (pumps are crazy)
And less prone to injury this way!

So I’ve had tons of questions on what is Gymshark66? So I thought I would explain it in a post. This is me @ the beach yesterday. I usually feel so insecure at the beach but yesterday I was so confident in my body & honestly didn’t even focus on how I looked at all. This made me realize that what I committed to at the beginning of this year for gymshark66 is actually paying off! Many people are like so is gymshark66 where you just workouts & wear gymshark & post it? Haha no. This is something much bigger and life changing. So it started January 1st & you commit to something for 66 days. For me that was being more disciplined & really gaining confidence. I struggled a lot last year with these 2 things so this was what I decided to commit to. These past months I’ve really been disciplined by waking up earlier & making sure my schedule is set to succeed. To make sure I get the most out of everyday. I hit the gym 5-6 times a week. It’s where I release all that’s built up in my mind & I gain so much confidence & joy when I hit the gym consistently. I haven’t been perfect but it’s never been about being perfect. It’s about effort, & what you do when you mess up. You keep going. If you struggled with following through with your New Years resolution it’s okay. You can start right now again. It’s okay if you fall off, we are humannn we will fall off. But you get right back up!!! Join me on these next 16 days. Yesterday I had a gym session that could have been described as up there with the worst I've ever had. I didn't want to go beforehand and I felt pretty 💩 overall.
But I went...
And you know what.. today is a new day 🌟
We all have bad days!!! Don’t let these days dishearten you.
Yesterday I knew it wasn't a good day. I knew it wasn't the best session I've ever had. But I was just glad and proud of myself that I was there doing my best 🤷🏽♀️
Try to see these days as simply an opportunity to do SOMETHING other than sit and feel rubbish and sorry for yourself. I lifted light. I didn't do many exercises. But what I did was better than nothing and that's what it's all about!! ☺️
Every little thing you do, every little bit of effort you put in will add up to great things🌻🌈
