#OldProjects. At 25, my first major build was managing all aspects of the #FRSConceptOne project except for livery ahead of its #SEMA & TAS debuts with Scion & Rays Japan. Prior to my transition to BP, only a handful of og friends are aware my first start in the industry was with Harman Motive/ #AQMotorsports.. household name for #timeattack specializing in #Subaru’s. Fun fact about this unique project... At the time, no manufacturer was producing pistons or rods for the #FA20 platform, with the help of my old friends at AQ I spec’d the motor build according to familiar icon, ToyoTires driver, & friend #JCMeynet 10:5:1 pistons from JE and Eagle rods, the only manufacturers interested in producing for us. The result? A 500hp efr flame throwing monster. Sure custom carbon fiber accents, completely diamond stitch Alcántara tailored interior/rear seat delete captured the attention and term “baby LFA” but as a guy growing up in the time attack scene.... the most important factor was having a dialed track setup (Cusco RS diff, #OriginalRunduce BBK/Suspensión tuned to my spec by #WestEnd, and Shawn Church & I opting trialed Speed Density tuning) as one of the first turbo #frs’ running... that’d later be driven by #Taniguchi at #Tsukuba Circuit. Here’s some progress we got done the past couple days: -master cylinders reinstalled
-custom trans tunnel
-custom shifter -fuel lines/FPR
-started on IC piping
-custom trans mount -catch can installed
I know it may seem like it’s taking a while for this swap, but you guys (the people who are impatient) gotta understand just how much work this really is, and how much it all costs. On top of that, if I’m being honest I really hacked the LS together just to work, and I’m trying to do the k20 super legit and nice.
