@themoneysavingmom posted this today & immediately I thought “YAAASSS!!!” This is exactly what I needed to see & exactly where I am in my journey right now. I had an awful night of sleep, shark week is killing me & I’ve got a bunch of anxiety over family stuff but I got up anyway this morning & pushed play on my workout. I didn’t want to but I knew it would help me feel better. It wasn’t a great workout by any stretch but I was proud of myself for not letting excuses win. And I know that I’m not on this journey for anyone else but me so I don’t have to compete with anyone. Should I have lost more weight by now? Nope...I’m right where I’m supposed to be because I am healthier every day & overall, I feel so much better. Consistency is key & that’s what I’m focusing on; that’s the lane I’m in & I’m running this race on my own time!
If you’re playing the comparison game or you’re in someone else’s lane, I encourage to take a look in the mirror- the one staring back at you is your only competition & all you have to do is be a little better today than you were yesterday. That’s called progress my friends! 🙌🏻😘
