Loving this natural summer mandala !
As we move into the warmer months, according to Ayurveda the Pitta dosha becomes more dominant.
If you are already Pitta dominant, this season can overload and put you off balance.
But no matter your constitution, everyone can benefit from a few Pitta-reducing tips during summer to keep us balanced. 🌱 Sleep on your right side which will activate the left nostril, which corresponds to the ida nadi, the subtle energy channel that corresponds to the cooling moon. You can even try blocking your right nostril and just breathe through the left nostril to help switch on the relaxation response. 🌱 Rather than high-intensity exercise that heats the body or makes you sweat, favour gentle yoga, walking in nature or swimming as a preferred exercise. 🌱 Some of the best foods for decreasing Pitta are leafy greens, coconut, cucumber, parsley, alfalfa sprouts, cantaloupe, and watermelon. The best dairy products are yogurt, milk, and ghee (clarified butter). Avoid peppery or spicy foods as they can increase heat and lead to excess Pitta.
When repotting my Monstera this past weekend from @family_tree_nursery I happily learned there were multiple groupings. 😁 🌱
Currently propagating this clipping to turn it into it’s own big monster. I love the look of propagating plants from a design perspective because of the reflection of light coming off the water. 💧
While I’m oddly fond of my plant babies I have a feeling this guy will turn into a gift for my favorite contractor (aka Dad).
#ficustriangularisvariegata 🌿💕 I’ve had some ups and downs with these wonderful little plants. They’re so sensitive to shipping, environmental changes, and they’re humidity whores (stole that term from a friend. I love it 🤣)... Luckily, this one has done great since day one. I have another one that is slightly different and it arrived naked (every leaf but ONE fell off). It looked like a sad winter tree for nearly two months, but it’s finally coming back to life! 🥳 I’ve lost two and had success with two. I guess those failures made the successes that much sweeter, so I’m not mad about it. 💕 Share a recent planty fail and/or success you’ve had👇🏼 #plantsuccess#plantfail
Heirloom tomatoes! 🙌🍅Tomato growing tip ➡️ Tomato seedlings need strong, direct light. Days are short during winter, so even placing them near a very sunny window may not provide them with sufficient natural light. Unless you are growing them in a greenhouse, your best option is to use artificial lights for 14 - 18 hours every day 🍅💚👩🌾👨🌾 #heirloomtomatoes

Soooooooo happy that I could help Gerard to be an awesome Secret Santa!!! We made gift giving an absolute breeze today at his office! One cute orange bougainvillea and a small trough with Sage, Basil and Rosemary!!! 🌲😁Merry Christmas🌲😁
Pilea Cadierei is also known as the aluminium plant due to 4 raised silver patterning on the upper part of the leaf. I made a timelapse of my thirsty p.cadierei earlier this year and this plant has grown so much since then, maybe even doubled in size. I need to pinch it out to encourage branching. You can use this technique for most herbaceous houseplants to get a fuller looking plant. I would take the top pair of leaves off with some snips, by removing the growing tip the plant will begin to branch out lower down the stem. It can prevent plants from looking leggy. ✂️ #pruning#pilea#pileacadierei

Well....about a week has gone by since Opa asked me to move my eggshells from the counter top. I need them for the new beds! So.. I'll put them in this basket liner for now!
We are loving our new Rae planter bundle. It combines an assortment of 2" succulents for planting with the clean, simple beauty of this wall mounted cement planter.
Constructed from sturdy cast cement, yet light in color and weight, with a playful radiating ray design, this contemporary planter will make a beautiful succulent display.
Flashing back to the day this massive Monstera adansonii arrived at the shop, just over a year ago. This beauty now resides on the top shelf in our solarium, near the translucent roof where it gets bright, indirect light all day long. It's since flowered twice, and made so many beautiful new leaves. Happy #MonsteraMonday!
When some kweens think of their dream closet they picture Carrie Bradshaw’s double entry walk-in closet ... this plant kween, she pictures @kingscountynurseries double entry greenhouse 😍🤷🏽♀️🌿

Nothing like Monday morning makes me miss my bed....... it’s so close to end of year break, and I cannot wait to just lay in bed for a week. 😪 .
Fiddle leaf has been busy since the chop, I’ll post on its progress tonight!
It was a hot New York summer day in July, I had rushed into @littlecanal to escape the heat and I stumbled upon this magnificent beauty. I ordered a large black iced tea and sat right next to this lush kween 💁🏽♀️🥤 #monsteramonday
