I named this little uni "Laguna" because of the sea theme of this picture. It might also be the name of a Final Fantasy character. Maybe.
This creature is a hippocamp from Greek mythology. Its tiny little vestigial wings are much too small to allow him to fly! I like them because they remind me of the tiny little fin that is on a seahorse's back.
This image was composed using millions of tiny dots which have a shimmering effect under the blacklight. It took me maybe 50 hours to produce. I will upload a close-up video later so you can see the dot work more clearly.
The claw on this standing cup is thought to be cast from an eagle’s talon 🦅
Made around 1550, the cup is constructed from a nautilus shell. Its silver mount takes the form of a sea monster with gaping jaws. On its back you can see an infant Hercules riding the monster while holding a serpent in his left hand.
