As a brand strategist, it’s important to deliver a Identity package that involved the answers to the questions below:
- Who are your clients (demographics, what they like to do, eat, buy etc etc etc)
- What is your message (don’t get this confused with Mission Statement- totally different)
- Where is the logo going to be placed mainly (what mediums)
- What does the client not want in it (if anything)
I feel a designer that delivers Identity Systems that get changed down the line did not care about doing an effective job relaying the message of the brand. That’s a waste of money for the company in more ways than just paying for a logo they no longer need. And let’s face it, as a designer you want your designs to be a representation of your thinking so you can develop a great client base that keeps coming back to you. - If your a company battling with your brand identity and/or just not happy with it, find a brand strategist to help carry you to another level of care. I know What we do here at Gravity Projekts goes really deep into allowing you as a business to understand who you are internally and externally. We’ve had the privilege to rebuild cultures within companies and build a client that becomes an advocate of your company....I know, it’s way more than a logo. Does your brand have the 3 C's?
▪️ 1) CLARITY
A good brand clears away all of the uncertainty and unnecessary decision making. Establishing your brand allows you to easily say yes to whatever falls in line with your brand, and no to what does not. When faced with a decision, if it lines up with your brand aesthetic, values, and goals, then the answer is yes! If it doesn't the answer is no.
▪️ 2) CONFIDENCE
A good brand speaks directly to your ideal client, before you even say a word. A good designer will help you to uncover your aesthetic and bring it to life with just the right design elements. Once your brand is designed and established, you can show it off to the world with confidence, knowing that it is the perfect representation of you and your business. Gone is any hesitation or embarrassment when it's time to whip out a business card or share your website with someone!
▪️ 3) CONSISTENCY
A good brand should contain many various elements and pieces. It should have a set color palette and font palette, several logo variations, a mood board, and more. All of which helps you carry out consistency on your own after you and your designer part ways. With all of these pieces in place, you can then go forward and show consistency to your audience all on your own! Your website, your social media, your paper materials, etc. should match, and this consistency will help your brand become more easily recognized and reliable. No more guessing!

I've been thinking a lot lately about the ways in which we allow ourselves to stay small—not speaking up, being afraid of failure, or not making creative work because we are scared of not being "good enough"—and just how detrimental these anxieties are to personal growth. For a lot of people (myself included) it can, at times, feel damn uncomfortable to allow ourselves to be seen, no matter how confident/prepared/worthy we might be. And so, this idea inspired another lettering project. .

When I first started on my creative journey It was by mistake, I wanted to be the next Kanye West 😂 so I started out making beats/recording & mixing. I wanted to look cool visually so I picked up a camera and started designing because I couldn’t have wack visuals 📸 or graphics. Then I opened a business downtown in my city to realize I was being hired to solve pain point issues. In all honesty I’m just grateful that I have made a living off of doing what I love and solving problems! 🙏🏾Blessed...
