Hope: reduce, reuse, recycle...there was a lovely article in @bangordailynews yesterday about our disturbing use of plastic. I do my best to curtail our own use of it as much as possible, but that article made me realize I can do more. As the article reminded us, it’s important to follow the recycling mantra IN ORDER—reduce, reuse, then recycle. How? These are tomatoes from our garden with cuc’s from Rollie’s farm stand up the road (Eastern ave, if you’re in the Holden/Brewer area-he’s a doll and has lots of goodies!). That reduces the plastic, chemicals, and greenhouse gases from buying store bought produce. Reuse the juice and jar from pickles—you can reuse the pickle juice for 1-2 additional batches after you eat the pickles ya originally bought. Simply cut up cucumbers into slices and place them in the pickle brine. I leave mine out overnight so they absorb the flavour better, then I refrigerate them. The jar will be used to store beans, grains, nuts, etc. once the last batch of pickles are eaten. It’ll get recycled once I lose the cap or someone else ends up with it! (We also keep jars to reuse for holiday gifts, filled with Rob’s sauce or sweet treats we make for people). And those tomatoes? They made a batch of stewed tomatoes, which simmered for 40 minutes before being made into Rob’s amazing sauce. The stewed tomato recipe was simple: 1 tblsp sugar, 2 tblsp Italian seasoning, a pinch of black salt (optional, but I added it for the nutrients and removal of the acidic taste). PS if you want more tips, join me Thursday eve at 5:30 or Sunday at 10 at @spraguesnursery1947 for my cooking demo! ☮️🌎🕉🐾🧡🧙🏻♀️💚 #whatsyourpassion#passionforhealing#healingwithnature#hope#grace#ancientwisdom#foodie#inked#plantbased#activist#ecofriendly#crueltyfree#WFLFPP#health#cooking#foodporn#delicious#plantpowered#vegetarian#whatveganseat#organic#food#inked#followyourpassion#brewermaine#bangormaine#maine#holdenmaine#reducereuserecycle
The purpose of a vision board is to be accountable of one’s personal, educational and professional life trajectory... .
And, sometimes, you must publicly demonstrate to others that as a critical care nurse, wife and mother...you can do all things possible through Christ. .
This is Candace Hooker, SRNA who has something to say about her support system and higher being on her first day of graduate school at Texas Wesleyan University Nurse Anesthesia Program. .
As per Candace: .
And, soooo it begins!!! My first day of CRNA school. Wow! I’m humbled! Thank you Jesus for making this possible. To my love ones, please send words of encouragement from time to time. If you find that I am distant, just know I mean no harm and that I’m trying to stay focused. I love y’all and will never forget you for being so supportive!
To Candace, My Future CRNA Colleague: Please know you have additional support system of CRNAs who excelled academically and clinically with a spiritual lift while as parent(s) in the Nurse Anesthesia Program. Most definitely, lean on us when you need to talk and we will check on you through out the program too. Blessings ~~ .
Feeling guilty. Feeling like you can't ask God to forgive you, because you knew what you were doing was wrong but you did it anyway? We have all being there. Our God, said come as you are not as you think you should be and I will give you rest. We are forgiven completely.
This doesn't mean that we will not face consequences for we did, but we can face them with the Holy Spirit in us.
I was shocked when Joshua spoke in Exp 32:17... I was like 'hold up, where did you come from?... A very angry Moses was on his way down from Mount Sinai when this happened... Prior to this, it had never entered my consciousness that Moses aide/assistant got to go wherever Moses went... Then in Exodus 33:11 again I see Joshua staying in the presence of God, this time after Moses left the tent... Then it clicked, no wonder Joshua wasn't scared of God's voice, he had heard it a thousand times before. He was prepared for his purpose... What you're currently doing may seem insignificant on a grand scale, but if you're walking with Christ Jesus, then keep at it... It's preparation for a great calling/platform/profession... Nothing Is Too Hard For God
Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You. Jeremiah 32:17
Our minds tend to see our problems as big or small. Even when we pray for the sick, we say things like, “You have a headache? No problem. Let’s pray for your healing.” But when it is cancer, we say, “Oh, let’s tell the senior pastor about it. It would be better if he prayed for you.” We think of headaches as small problems and cancers as big ones.
But that is not the way God thinks. There is nothing too hard for Him who made the heavens and the earth! With God, there is no such thing as a “big” problem. In fact, the “bigger” the problem, the “easier” it is for Him! In the feeding of the 5,000, it took only five loaves to feed the multitude. (Matthew 14:15–21) But in the feeding of the smaller multitude of 4,000, it took seven loaves. (Matthew 15:32–38)
In man’s scheme of things, it should take more loaves to feed more people. But this is not so with God. It took fewer loaves to feed more people. This is God’s way of telling us that the “bigger” the problem, the “easier” it is for Him. I am not saying that small problems are hard for God. But it is so encouraging to think that it is “easier” for God to heal cancers than headaches!
Imagine coming to God with a big problem. “So, what is your problem, son?” God asks. You say, “Father, it is a huge financial debt — not thousands but millions!” He says, “Easy. It is already cancelled.” In another scenario, God asks, “So, what is your problem, son?” You say, “Father, I have lost my job and I can’t find a new one. I am already in my fifties and I don’t have the necessary qualifications.” He says, “No problem. Consider yourself employed. And in this new job, you won’t just have a job, you will have a position.” Beloved, with God, it is never a problem because there is nothing too hard for Him!
2 Coríntios 5:18-20 #bible#biblia#oldschol#Deus#Dios#God#travel#arrependimento#soldier#skate#surf#snow#salvation#100cera#soldier#reconciliação#trip#bless#blessed#gracias#love#amor#bendiciones#travelgram#sp#grace#tbt#tksgod

Today, when I woke up this morning, for the first time in 17 years I didn’t go to work for anyone else, I went to work for myself🙌🏻
As of today, I am the first full time employee of Tiffany Louise LLC 😉
This is a moment I’ve dreamed of since I was a little girl who told my 7th grade teacher I wanted to have my own business where I helped other people
It was quite a journey to get here, and it’s only just begun
And it’s really all thanks to YOU. The people who have followed along, who have trusted me and become my patients & clients, and those who attend my events and talks. I’m so grateful to each and every one of you. And I’m so excited to be able to serve you MORE
I’d love to hear what topics and types of content you’d like to see more of!? And if you’re interested, I wrote my first blog in a realllll hot minute on my journey to creating my coaching business - link in bio
Today, I felt called to remind you that if you’re somewhere in the middle, in the trenches, working your butt off and it doesn’t seem like you’re gaining traction, just know that you’re right where you’re supposed to be. You’re learning skills and lessons that will one day serve you. And one day you might even be grateful for it. I know that I sure am💗
