I think my daddy would have been very humbled and overwhelmed at the love and support that our family has been shown over the past few days, and that so many people thought so much of him. I know I certainly am. There are certainly no words to express how much all the prayers, texts, messages, phone calls, food, and flowers have blessed us. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you all for the kindness and love you have shown our family. Things will be different and I know it's going to be hard. I told my mom that daddy would not want us to be sad, then I laughed and said, well, yeah he would, but just for a little while. My favorite part of the service yesterday was hearing the gospel songs played during the visitation and the chapel service. If you knew my daddy, he loved Elvis and he loved gospel music, so Elvis gospel music was playing softly during the visitation. It took me back to walking in the house with Elvis music playing and daddy's sweet voice singing along. At the chapel service, one of daddy's oldest friends (KG as we knew him) that used to play piano for daddy's gospel quartets played a few of daddy's favorite songs they sang as a group and that daddy sang lead on. I was little when daddy sang in the quartets, but I do have some sweet memories of going to practices and all the different churches they sang at; they even let Melissa and I sing on occasion. Victory in Jesus was one of daddy's favorite songs and KG talked about that a little. That song has been playing over and over in my mind. Daddy got his victory in Jesus a long time ago. He showed the love he had for Jesus, and he taught me about that victory that was mine to claim. I know where my Daddy is, and I can only imagine what he felt when he saw Jesus' face and those beautiful streets of gold; I know he's singing with the angels; I know he is healthy now; I know there was pure joy and happiness when he saw his Mama's face; and I know he will hug me again one day. That's victory in Jesus, and the promise I hold on to.

"Criou Deus o homem à sua imagem, à imagem de Deus o criou; homem e mulher os criou." - Gênesis 1:27
Você se sente inútil, sem valor? Isso é mentira do diabo! Você foi criado à imagem e semelhança de Deus. Isso significa que um pouco da glória de Deus se reflete em você. Sim, o pecado mancha sua vida mas Jesus lhe ama tanto que Ele se ofereceu para lhe salvar. O Deus de todo o universo lhe valoriza!

First off the hypeman is killing me...but seriously....Kurt Franklin revolutionized gospel music and incorporated something the youth could feel. He changed the sound forever, and broke the mold creating something other than “traditional sounding gospel” in this era. #Lecrae, #Flame, #KorynHawthorne and many more have benefited from it.-BH

Hallelujah I'm justified not because of anything I did or will do but ONLY because I believe (have faith) in Christ Jesus. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eph.2.8 - Saving is all his idea, and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It's God's gift from start to finish! [MSB]
Gal.2.20 - I am not going to go back on that. Is it not clear to you that to go back to that old rule-keeping, peer-pleasing religion would be an abandonment of everything personal and free in my relationship with God? I refuse to do that, to repudiate God's grace. If a living relationship with God could come by rule-keeping, then Christ died unnecessarily. [MSB]
“Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith” (Hebrews 12:1-2, ESV) Walking with Jesus is more like a marathon than a sprint. As we do with everything in life, our first instinct is to desire immediate results. We want all of our troubles to go away in an instant. But over time, we see the fullness of God’s Kingdom in our lives. It’s in the grind we learn how to follow Jesus. It’s often that one morning we wake up and reflect back on our journeys, singing hallelujah, seeing how dark became light, in awe of how much God has changed us. @hillsongunited@joelhouston
