Little rusty, almost fell Na mean heyyyy. MOUNTAIN CLIMBING get way to build your yams....believe it or not. A lot of ABDUCTION so a lot of Glute Medius. Also builds GRIP STRENGTH which is important for all your lifts. Make sure to keep your core nice and tight. Looking like a outdoors men....A Yeti
Bulgarian Split Squats. These are nothing but lunges with the rear foot elevated on a box or a stepper. A very effective unilateral / single limbed movement and great for growing your #quads and #glutes
Technique is 🔑 in every movement you perform and it will always be more important than the weight lifted.
40 kgs x 4 sets x 10 reps on each side here.
Quads and glutes were set on 🔥
Linda is remarkable because she broke her kneecap in 3 places in 2018 after she hydroplaned her foot on a wet kitchen floor and is now back to deep squats. As well, she had a stroke a few years ago and has spasticity on her left side arm and leg. #fitAF#abs#glutes#booty#coordination#stroke#brokenknee
Sometimes doing landmine presses and squats can beat up the palms of you or your clients hands so I came up with this idea of putting a Fat Grip on the end of the bar. It widens the surface area and the material is also much softer than the barbell. It makes it a little difficult to pick up on your own, but if you're working with a trainer, they may be nice enough to hand it to you.
Still want to skip your workout?!? On the pic to the left I was trying out my sister in laws pants as a joke. I had already dropped 30+ pounds and I remember telling her and my husband as they snapped the pic, "Just you wait! I'm going to fit into this outfit soon!" My sister in law allowed me keep the outfit for motivation. Every day as I walked/ran that familiar road as I'd done so many evenings before, the image of what I should/could/would look like appeared in my head. The overpowering feeling of what it would feel like for my feet to not hurt anymore, or for once to not feel so tired and fatigued. It's what pushed me to walk another step, it's what drove me to eat a salad instead of pie, it's what encouraged me to not give up every time things got tough. And at any point I ever felt like giving in or giving up, I'd pull out the outfit and remind myself that I made a commitment, a promise, a vow to myself. I wouldn't let myself down...and I didn't!

Why do I need to warm up my butt @theangrycalf
Other than trying to keep warm in our icy weather here in Melbourne right now ?
I normally say, Our Glutes are like the MPV of movement. 🍑They push us, help us turn, twist, run and jump, but honestly after being sat on all the time, they can be a bit lazy.
😬Couple this with the other side affect of sitting, short tight hip flexors, causing a rotation / tilt of your pelvis.
😭This means you will used your quads and back for everything you butt and hamstrings are built to do… in time this will lead to a sore back, knees, big toe abs gate issues or worse a bad injury. 💪🏼So taking 5 mins to stretch your hips, foam roll your quads and warm up with a booty band will help get you ready to lift. 🌶I’ll post heaps of stories in the next few days of our crew doing different moments with them on for inspo! 🙏At the very least, it will get your head out of your day and into lifting mode.
