This time last year, I made a decision. I decided to make shit happen. For months I had been "meh". I hated my job, I was feeling uninspired and unmotivated and just generally awful. So, I made a decision to fix it. I forced myself to apply for jobs. To write even though no one was reading it. To immerse myself in wedding planning.
It sucked at first. I still felt all those things, I didn't feel a renewed sense of motivation. I was just forcing myself to work towards a goal instead of watching Netflix six hours a night.
And you know what? Within weeks I realized that I loved wedding planning and it was something I looked forward to. Within a month, I had my first paid blogging gig. Within sixty days, I had a new job.
And suddenly, my whole life flipped.
It is HARD to change. Even when you're miserable, it's easier to be miserable than to change. It takes willpower and it takes work and it takes telling yourself no and kicking yourself in the butt, but change really is simple. You just have to make a choice.

Taft Point📍11.20.18🔹one of the best days of the year 🥰
A year after we went to Utah, we knew we wanted to go back out West again - so Yosemite was a no-brainer. Probably one of the most famous places in the world, Yosemite did not disappoint. Even after seeing thousands of pictures depicting the park and all of its landmarks, my jaw still dropped as we drove into the park for the first time, with El Captian looming above us. Eating lunch on the top of Yosemite Falls, stepping out on the ledge of Taft Point at sunset, and watching the stars dance over Half Dome have easily made Yosemite my favorite park to date.
Pano, please swipe left. Starting to plan for our annual spring ski trip with @joshmillerphotography. Last year we skied out to Glacier Pt and camped for 3 nights. A very different experience than in the summer when the road is open :) This pano was made near the top of Sentinel Dome, Yosemite Falls on the left, Half Dome on the right. Also check out Josh's IG, he's got some great photos there! #yosemitewinter#sentineldome#glacierpoint
Just over the moon happy that my baby is starting to become real. This free styled shoot couldn’t happen without some amazing vendors like @eyecandy_fashion_boutique in Fresno and @originalcowgirlclothing out of Texas - that are donating their time and services! Please go check out there page and give them some love! They are beautiful people with amazing businesses. 🖤 Stay tuned for more vendors who i will be collaborating with tomorrow!
Hit me with some suggestions of places in Britain with spectacular views. Needing some inspiration for long weekends away.
I have been a little MIA lately. I have been working on prices. Getting contracts together for 2 weddings i have been asked to do. Also, i am getting ready to go on a much needed family trip. And then when I get home, I have the honor of taking pictures for a local fireman’s wedding. #blessed
...Your mind is a powerful thing! When we fill it with positive thoughts, we often have positive reactions!
This past week I got to spend time with some of my closest friends, and even made new ones as we attended our 5th annual Yosemite backpacking trip.
As the first couple days went by as any other camping trip hiking, drinking and telling stories around the campfire, it wasn’t until Friday that I got the ultimate opportunity to summit one of my all time bucket list hikes...Half Dome!!
But getting to the summit wasn’t gonna be all that easy. Fortunately for me and @allyssa.imano, we had @phamtastically_lost to give us a quick mountaineering lesson on how to climb the cables w/out the poles up. Yeah it was intimidating as hell, but I also had a rush of excitement I’ve never felt before!
After about 1 hr + with only our harness, ropes, carabiners, crampons and gloves, we made it to the summit!
It was a feeling of relief and pride. Once making it to the top, the first thing I told Vu was “Dude, you just helped me cross off one of my all time bucket list hikes”. He then says “I didn’t do anything man! You climbed up here, you learned the technique and you had the will to want to do it, so that’s all you man!”
So thanx again man!!...so sick!
Also, big thanx to @danny_magill and @_freddyromero_ for the motivation as well! Enjoyed my time with you guys!!
