Nicaragua is ranked the second poorest country in the Americas with a population of 6.1 million people. 2 million of those people are school-aged children but half of them live in poverty and can’t afford an education.
But because of our eMiters, we are building a better future for these children. Your Mite has helped provide school supplies in backpacks like this so that more children can afford to attend school and get an education. #GiveYourMite
We had a blast at last night’s Bowling Tournament! Thanks to all who came out, and thank you to our sponsors! You are all helping make our charitable projects possible. #bowling#montrosebowl#pasadenajaycees
#regram from @trekstock which is a completely amazing cancer support charity. The energy here is amazing - the girls work tirelessly to do all they can to give confidence back to young people with cancer, as well as the survivors who have to adjust to a ‘new normal’ (after life-changing surgeries). Pictured here at their HQ in Soho with @annaracheldavies as we plan an evening of styling and clothes swapping which is in fact called swishing, dontcha know. #trekstock#bodyconfidence#livingwithcancer#giveback

The “Unprotected” article I shared with you all yesterday magnifies the need for us to help our own. I was instantly convicted upon reading that article, because as a Liberian, I realized that I and many others have failed to consistently reach back and help. It is simply a blessing that I was born to parents who had the means of bringing me to America and providing me with a childhood and educational experience free from strife and trauma. That makes me no better than those who stayed and are still in Liberia. —
This is not about the Academy mentioned in the article. This is about now. Although rage consumed and still consumes me, it is more than that. It is about how YOU AND I CAN HELP NOW.
I am asking for a $10 minimum donation AND that you share the article and the link in my bio to at least 7 people in your network, family, and friend circle. Please feel free to donate more if desired; the $10 is simply a minimum. Let us raise awareness of this issue, demand action be taken for these young girls, and raise money to aid other young students in Liberia.
I will start with my $10 donation AND a promise to match the first fifty (50) $10 donations. Every little bit helps and this is just the beginning! Thank you in advance for your contribution and for sharing. •

Meet: Kaitlyn 💚💙
Kaitlyn is the first recipient for #sgbdCentralTexas chapter! Here’s a little more of Kaitlyn’s Story:
In Sept of 2011, just as her father began his 4th tour overseas with the US Army, Kaitlyn began her own journey. By Thanksgiving, doctors had found a tumor in her abdomen. By that Friday, the original diagnosis of #lymphoma had changed, as Kaitlyn and her family were told that she had stage 3 group 3 Embryonal #Rhabdomyosarcoma
Due to the severity, the location and the size of her tumor, no doctor in the country would perform surgery on Kaitlyn. That December, Kaitlyn’s father returned from Afghanistan and Kaityln began #chemotherapy
Between kidney failure, surgeries, time in the ICU, chemo burns, and additional tumors, Kaitlyn has been the epitome of #resiliency. She is proving cancer wrong day after day and #savvygiving CAN’T WAIT to give her a new room!
You can DONATE NOW via link in bio! 💚💙

Thank you to everyone who came out and said “Hi!” to us at our booth at Open Streets Santa Cruz this weekend! We had a great time meeting all our neighbors, hanging out with the volunteers and adoptable pups from @PeaceOfMindDogRescue and serving so many cute pups puppuccinos. Proud to call Santa Cruz home.

We are super excited to have the opportunity to pair with the Karen T. Stall research and breast institute this month! We love giving back to our community, so we are doing pink extensions for $10 and selling bracelets for $5 this month! 100% of the money we make from that will be donated to the organization! No appointment needed to get the extension! Just come on in and we will take care of you💕 .
I had the best time teaching to benefit @pinestreetinn last night! A huge huge thank you to everyone who attended and donated to @ariayogaco ’s Karma Charity Flow for Pine Street 🙏🏼✨ Together we were able to bring more awareness to the issues facing the homeless population in Boston and raised almost $1,500 for the organization!!

Sweet Ethel was found lost and wandering the streets as a stray. She was in desperate need of medical attention and luckily Collar of Hope was there to help. They transported Ethel to the vet as she appeared to be suffering from multiple medical conditions. She seemed to have dry eyes, in addition to eye infections. Upon further investigation, they realized that Ethel has multiple lumps that will likely need to be removed. If that weren’t enough, she is also struggling with bald spots and itchy skin.

Ethel is a sweet bulldog that deserves the world. In the meantime, Collar of Hope will be able to provide her with nutritional food and a lot of TLC. Despite issues with her eyes, paws, and skin, this girl has a lot of love to give. We hope with all of the proper treatments, this pup will feel better soon. Please consider donating to Ethel’s medical bills to help start her road to recovery. (Link in bio to donate) ❤️🐾✨
Quarterly donation time again 🖤
While our site is down for maintenance, I thought we would decide on our donation! As you may know, every quarter of the year we pool all the monetary offerings left on our altar to donate to a non-profit or advocacy organization. We have been doing this for almost three years and it adds up to a generous donation! Ritualcravt will match the donation to double it 🖤
In the past we have donated mostly to social and racial justice organizations, Standing Rock and other Native American focused groups, Planned Parenthood, ACLU, and a couple local animal advocacy organizations.
Where would you like this donation to go to? Please leave a comment below, and/or like other comments and the donation will go to the one most frequently suggested/liked. I will give it 24 hours and we will decide together. I will post the receipt for the donation in our story as usual. Thank you for your input and thank you to all the folks that leave so many beautiful things at our altar as well, they do not go unnoticed 🖤 #magicliveshere#giveback

Go with the flow 💦⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve teamed up with Italeau to spread the word about their Give Water Challenge! Since their boots are waterproof, they have partnered with a charity on a mission to bring clean H20 to those in need. For every image posted on Instagram of you jumping in water, spraying water, dancing in the rain (etc.) and tagging @italeau + @water + challenging three friends + #italeau#givewaterchallenge, Italeau will provide one month of clean, safe, and sanitized water for a grateful individual in need. You don’t even need to be wearing the Italeau shoes! Such an easy and fun way to give back ♥

At the Soi Dog Foundation, we believe that people’s attitudes to animals are formed at an early age. If more people grow up with sympathetic attitudes to dogs and cats, there will be fewer cases of cruelty and neglect.⠀
To guide this formation of sympathy towards dogs and cats, Soi Dog Foundation has devised a programme of education for schoolchildren starting in primary school. 📗🖊 ⠀
We hold workshops to teach proper dog and cat care, including sterilisation and vaccination and our education programme teaches children to have compassion for animals. With the help of our supporters, we will continue to expand these programmes to reach more and more people. 🐾 Please go to bit.ly/donatetosoidog to help ❤ Thank you!⠀ #soidogfoundation#learning#school#inspiration#motivation#love#adoptdontshop#dogs#nonprofit#giveback#donate#linkinbio
