I have never called myself a feminist because I'm honestly afraid of the stereotypes that go along with this word. However I am passionate about female leaders and females in business + tech which is why I love this shirt. But let me be very clear when I say:
* I am not a man hater. I do not believe all men are rapists. I do not think women are better than men. I do not believe a woman should get promoted over a man simply because she is a woman. I do believe in equal pay for equal work. And most importantly I believe we were created as equals.
I think they way feminism is portrayed in the US today can sometimes make women seem entitled and oppressed - that is not at all what I believe or what I stand for. I believe we as females are badasses and can make the choice to go after and accomplish anything we set our minds to!! 💃🏻
Hello! For some of you that don't know, I am a computer science major. This Thanksgiving break I have challenged myself to fully dive into PHP. I am very excited about this because it is something that I have been working with for around a year or two, but I am putting aside the time to work on my own project and self learning! So excited to see what I am able to get through!!
How to get into AI? .
Ahh the question everyone has been asking me lately. There is sadely no magic spell. AI is not just another language you'll learn an put under your belt. Sure there is tons of machine learning platform out there like pytorch and tensorflow that can help in making it more accessable for everyone but to really understand what is going on under the hood, you'll need to understand the maths! .
The best book I came across is Deep Learning by pioneer Ian Goodfellow, Yoshua Bengio and Aaron Courville. With it, you'll be able to learn and do the math. You'll be able to build and train from scratch your own neural network. Once you truly understand how a simple neural network works, you can get into the more heavy stuff!
I talked about machine learning with @roetechi last night for her upcoming post where she'll tell you all the juice about it! You should go check her out for more informations !
. V R c h i v e s 0 0 . >>> About last friday opening // VRchive00 is my first VR installation. >>> It was amazing to see how people reacted to the immersion. Such a great experience! >>> 🖤 to do that! I feel a little more complete now that I found a way to mixed two things I'm really passionate about! (Arts & Programming)

We are in the age of cloud applications! Almost every point solution you can think of is accessible via the cloud, and almost everyone’s data storage systems are based in the cloud ( #AWS , #Azure , etc.).
But what does this mean in the context of #machinelearning and #artificialintelligence ? As #ML and #AI algos get more and more sophisticated and require more data to produce accurate results, there are two paths forward: #cloudcomputing and #edgecomputing
Not mutually exclusive, cloud computing and edge computing are just two ways to tackle the massive amount of information flow that’s present in our networks. Cloud computing involves taking all the data thats gathered from IoT devices and sending it back to the cloud, and then analyzing it using machine learning.
Edge computing involves distributing these data processing tasks out to various devices on the network, thereby decentralizing it and putting it on the “edge.” With smaller and more powerful processors, individual units can perform machine learning algorithms on the data locally, and then send the results back to the cloud.
Which do you think is better?
Learning to code can make the difference between success and failure for female entrepreneurs? So says female entrepreneur and Silicon Valley Founder, Kate Elizabeth.
Breaking down the gender divide in technology related degrees and jobs starts by educating and build confidence in young girls. Introducing coding in elementary school is a great place to start.
Thanks PCEF donors for playing a role in moving the needle for girls in STEM.

I was up until 12AM last night working on getting myself and plans together for @digitalempirehq. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was so tired, hence me downing an energy drink, but I’ve been so motivated that I pushed through. I’ve got a new theme for our Instagram page and getting schedules together for the cause. I perform a lot better when I’m organized. I am NOT the one who functions well in chaos. It’s pisses me off if I have to.
Along with that I’ve been constantly re-doing my security+ study schedule/curriculum. I’ve pushed the date back to December and possibly January. I don’t rush to rush studying because then that gives me anxiety and then I end up back in the cycle of holding it off another year.
I’m going to get back to posting security related captions on here so we can all learn and talk security together. 💞

Thank you for your incredible contribution, we're on the right track to Hack The Future 💪
The first line of code I wrote was in Fortran (Yes, I swear..) and my first program was to find the root of a given quadratic equation. Not your typical "hello world" you would say, but I fell in love anyway and I've been coding ever since! What was your first program about ?
I remember when enough was enough. I had spent the whole day at my friend's lake house surrounded by gorgeous men and women with beautiful bodies and I was so self-conscious. I wasn't my usual bubbly self and I definitely didn't strip all the way down into my bikini that day.
I came home feeling inspired to make a change. I will honestly never forget that day on the lake. Although I didn't feel my best, I'm also incredibly grateful for that day, for being inspired by my friends, for seeing what's possible, and for saying enough is enough.
That was two and a half years ago and boy have things changed. This weekend I found myself surrounded by some gorgeous ladies for our beach coach retreat. Not one second did I feel the need to hide under my cover up.
I've come so far in my journey. Personally, I still have goals for myself. Either way, I am so blessed for my body, proud of what it can do, and I'm truly confident in my skin.
I can tell you with 100% certainty that I NEVER thought I would say those words about myself in a bikini. I thought I'd always be uncomfortable and secretly comparing my body to others.
No matter what size you are. If you aren't comfortable in your own skin, start with gratitude. Be thankful for all that your body does for you. It's hard to be upset when you’re full of gratitude.
Then if you want to make a change. Do it. Start right now. Walk around your apartment, join my bootcamp, press play on a free YouTube workout. Know that it's not going to be easy, but overtime you'll get there.
what languages can you speak/understand?☺️
if anyone wants to practice german, mandarin, or english with me, dm me and we can chat!💞i’d love to improve my german and help others with mandarin & english😊
my notes in german are literally a random mishmash of stuff that my teacher goes through quickly so it really isn’t organized 😂

Should I use Grid or Flexbox? 🤔💭.
When people first encounter CSS Grid Layout, they tend to think of Grid as being the controller 🎮 of the major page layout 🏗, providing a framework for headers and sidebars, main content and footers.
Flexbox is not so well suited to creating these types of layouts 🚫. It is certainly possible to create a simple layout using Flexbox. However once flex items wrap 🔁, each row becomes a flex container itself. Space distribution happens across that row or column, you lose the ability to line things up with items in rows above 🙅🏻♀️. If you have a bunch of items, don’t need them to line up with any other elements 📚 but just want them displayed evenly and flexibly, you want flexbox. The most basic of examples demonstrates the behaviour of items getting an equal amount of space between them 📏 using justify-content: space-between.
Grid implements the space distribution and alignment 📐 properties that are part of the Box Alignment Module, so there are possibilities to play with the alignment and spacing of grid items to some degree, but the fact remains that due to the two dimensional approach of grid, you can’t make one row of the grid behave differently to the one above ⚖️. Instead you’ll need to change the properties on the individual grid items. Making them span more cells, or use different alignment values 📊.
So there is your choice 🤷🏻♀️. Do you want to let your content control the way it is displayed, on a row by row or column by column basis? That’s flexbox.
Or, do you want to define a grid, and either allow items to be auto-placed into the cells defined by that grid, or control their positioning using line-based positioning or grid template areas. That’s grid.

Happy Monday everyone ☺️.
This week I decided to start learning React ⚛️ with the course “React 16 - The Complete Guide” on @udemy by Maximilian Schwarzmüller. In this course I will learn the theory, solve assignments 📚, practice in demo projects and build one big application 📱 which is improved throughout the course: The Burger Builder! 🍔.
React to the rescue! 🦸🏻♂️
React is all about components - basically custom HTML elements - with which you can quickly build amazing and powerful web apps 📱. Just build a component once, configure it to your needs, dynamically pass data into it (or listen to your own events!) and re-use ♻️ it as often as needed.
This course will start at the very basics and explain what exactly React is and how you may use it 📝. Thereafter, we'll go all the way from basic to advanced 📈. Last but not least, thank you to @kimo_dev for getting me this React course! 🙏🏼 I can’t wait to see what awesome applications I can build with this 🤗. Have a lovely week everyone 🌸
