7 days to go 😬😁 eight week challenge almost complete 🏋🏻♀️. 8 days left of working in a tomato factory too 🥰🥰.Breakfast used ham instead on mince because where can you buy such a small amount of mince 🤷🏻♀️. 22 work out this morning was very tired so didn’t do my best. Think my monitor was going weird at the beginning though because that’s when I worked my hardest 🙃. .
Split was a city that we went to with no real expectations or plans. We didn’t know much about it other than it was along the coast and that many people go there as part of their Croatian travels. We weren’t sure if we should spend a few days there or just use it as a transition town between Plitvice National Park and Dubrovnik.
We ended up spending a full day in Split, plus a little time there on our transit days and we were so glad we had that day to explore! Even though it was insanely hot, we explored the coast and took a long hike up Marjan Hill for some spectacular views of the city. We loved the mix of modern and historic atmosphere and would highly recommend a stop here on your Croatian journey. For those of you who have visited Split, what did you think of the city? First Impression of @the.anam.camranh ? Well, I’m pretty sure my jaw hit the floor and humbly stayed there until I departed the resort 3 days later. The Anam is easily the most amazing resort I have ever stayed at.
I stayed in a Pool View Villa, which was 50sq mts of pure indulgence. My room over looked one of the amazing pools the Anam offers, and sitting on the terrace with a morning cup of tea was pure bliss.
The best part of my villa was the deep bathtub, that had opened floor to ceiling windows that overlooked a lush mini garden. No better way to end a luxurious stay than with an indulgent soak followed by robe life and afternoon coffee delivery. Oh and they made me fresh almond milk daily! Winning! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Exploring what can only be described as a little slice of heaven.
Still so untouched, so pure and still so authentic.
The wifi is limited, the power works only during the day, the people are so honest and lovely and food is delivered to the island just once a week.
A week in paradise is going to be hard to say goodbye!

Maybe it was all a dream...
It’s hard to believe based on this photo, but this place is actually just off the side of a major freeway. @mikesugianto, @lizah and I spotted it from the road, immediately pulled over, and decided to create our own kind of magic. #whpplayful
Looking for my next picnic spot like…
Plazas, parks, and abundant PUBLIC SPACES make Santiago such a beautiful city to live in. People fill every sittable pieces of grass, pedestrian-only avenues, and frequent bike lanes... A govn’t program @ciclorecreovia even shuts down a few major streets every Sunday for pedestrians, cyclists, kids on tricycles, and people in wheelchairs to enjoy the city without motors - RETURNING PUBLIC SPACES TO PEOPLE (ngl felt like a proud resident biking down the avenue with the whole city). You can see the positive impact of this #CityPlanning in the residents’ kindness, joyfulness, integrity and general #goodvibes ( #Chile is ranked one of the highest in the UN Human Development Index). Strangers I’ve met have gone out of their ways to help us navigate and store owners were so honest in helping us to get what we need instead of just trying to sell. #communitygoals
Having lived in the concrete jungle of HK and the auto-dependent Toronto suburbs, I've come to realize the importance of building inclusive, enjoyable, and sustainable cities. We are shaped by our environment, but ultimately, our environment is built by us. Santiago inspired me dream bigger for my own cities. What kind of city do you want to build?
