Today has been a busy one so far, starting out with a leg training session and quick breakfast & then a meeting with our wedding photographers 🙌🏼📸 Then into Harrogate to run a couple of errands, all while dragging along this little guy 🐶 Try going anywhere quickly with a puppy & you're stopped every other step as everyone wants to stroke him 😂
Now to get in a healthy food shop for the week & perhaps sneak in a bit of Christmassy gingerbread baking 🎄It's never too soon for a bit of #christmas festivity in my book ☃️

Cal and I went to an insane revival class with our fav @marion_pearce last night (and then headed for a huge bowl of pasta and big glass of red wine at our new favourite Italian #balance). Best way to get ready for a holiday 👌🏼
I’m planning on getting straight back on a bike this weekend and finally going on a bloody run 😂 It’ll be my first run since my 10k in September so I’m sure it’s gonna be hard 🙈 But I’m hoping I can use this holiday to restart my running routine 💪🏼 I was running 4 times a week when I lived in France and I loved it!

TRUST YOUR GUT ✨...
I’ve seen a couple of quotes on this pop up on my feed recently and it was just what I needed to see. Ever had someone say to you “go with your gut” or “trust your gut instinct” and think to yourself “they are just saying that because they don’t know what else to say” or “that’s just a saying”? I have 🤷🏻♀️ and I am telling you no, LISTEN TO IT ‼️ you are not paranoid, you are not overthinking. People can pick up on bad vibrations and low frequencies, so 9/10 times when you have that “gut feeling” that a certain situation or person isn’t right, it’s almost ALWAYS true. The best decisions that I have made have been from going with my gut instinct- being in tune with my body and going off what FEELS right rather than what “should” be done. And yes, those gut feelings may not always work out, and you’ll get a gut feeling that the gut feeling you went with isn’t right (you still with me?? 🤣) and guess what- go with that too! You might be thinking, well there was that one time I went with my gut and it all went wrong, maybe, but your body and your mind pushed you toward that decision for a reason. Things might not always work out, but you will always learn and you will always grow 🌹 and ultimately lessons and growth is what allows to progress to bigger and better things. CHRISTMAS GIFT IDEA ALERT!! ⏰🎄🎁 - I’ve been thinking about my fitness journey and what was the main thing that motivated me to change the way I was eating, the ways I was keeping active and what gave me the knowledge I know today 🤔💭 - I’ve mentioned on one of my previous Instagram posts that I’ve been lucky enough to be brought up eating very healthy as a child. I remember the days of envying my friends lunches in school, eyeing up their chocolate bars and crisps, whilst the worst thing in my box was a pack of raisins...which later were take away when my mum found out they’re actually bad for you 😂 ...but truthfully, I knew ZERO about food! ❎ UNTIL!!! My mum told me to give JAMES DUGANS book a read. This is the clean and lean diet 🥦🥒📕 My mum knows how much Ive always obsessed over food and my weight as a child and she gave me this book to put a positive spin on health as opposed to constantly stressing over the subject in a negative way! I thank this book solely on giving me the knowledge on food that I know today. James has such powerful knowledge on the way the body reacts to food and what we should be fueling ourselves with ⛽️ , promoting the fact diets are absolutely ridiculous and it should be a life style change as opposed to a quick fix 💪🏼 If you’ve never heard of JAMES, he has helped many celebrities as well as non celebrities with their nutrition and their fitness schedules, including the stunning Elle Macpherson 😍 I honestly could not put it down and was shocked about how little I really knew! - I would highly recommend putting this book on your Christmas list 📝🎄🎁

You know the bit...maybe that little bit underneath your belly button? Or your legs? Maybe on your hips?
Peeled everywhere else but just that annoying bit that you’ve never seemed to get rid of.
Do you switch up your cardio? Start doing cardio fasted? Have a cheat meal because metabolizmz? (Pls no).
It’s more than likely just a simple case of sucking it up and getting on with it.
As in...YOU’RE JUST NOT LEAN ENOUGH.
So we DIET LONGER and/or HARDER. ——
You’re not dealing with fat that doesn’t want to shift, you’re dealing with still holding fat on that body part that just needs to be dieted off.
That’s probably gonna mean digging in, ‘embracing the suck’ and either eating less (by simply lowering that calorie goal and adjusting) or moving more (your decision as to which will pretty much dependant on free time and current calorie intake/hunger levels).
If you’re weight is still pushing down consistently and you have time...chill out. Keep doing what you’re doing and let that deficit do it’s thing.
If you’re short of time OR your weight has stalled you’re probably doing you digging we spoke of.
Might suck a bit, but that suck’s probably necessary to get you there.
‘Stubborn fat’ requires a stubborn approach.

Poached eggs, sauteed tomatoes & mushrooms, wilted spinach, wholemeal toast, sausages & pumpkin seeds 💪 High protein, loads of veg, high volume but cals are low. At the moment I'm prioritising large meals as I'm a bit all over the place 🙃

Why you should never compare yourself to photos on Instagram 👆🏼These two photos were taken seconds apart yet it would usually be an absolute no brainer that I would only post the second one 👀 Reality is everyone posts the tiniest snapshot of their lives, Instagram is a highlight reel and with the aid of good angles and filters everyone can distort themselves to what society deems more acceptable. Truth is I know my angles and what will look best for a photo, if I pop my hip back a little my waist will look slimmer and legs look leaner but reality is I don’t look like that all the time 🤷🏼♀️ When this particular photo was taken I was having a pretty crappy body image day, feeling self conscious, spotty and bloated but you would never guess that from the second picture. All I’m saying is don’t believe everything you see and don’t compare yourselves to those perfectly captured shots on Insta because reality is they’re not always a true representation of real life! Let’s celebrate our own authenticity, embrace our flaws and be our true selves 😊 #instagramvsreality#beforeandafter#bodypositivity

🤰🏻 23 DAYS OUT Update (I’m gonna try share every day until he comes... so this is for yesterday)
So... he moves like mad... and big movements... like he’s trying to escape out of my belly. Maybe he’s working out in there 🤷🏻♀️. I was given a bag of treats from my lovely client... which I consumed in around 2 hours (Greek bread, chocolate and sweets) it felt great at the time but I felt pretty sick after and in general I have a huge appetite eat everything and then feel sick 🙄. I cancelled (for the first time!) on a few friends last night as I just wanted to chill... I put the the Christmas tree up and chilled at home all evening instead. Umm I also got a new car from @procarsuk who were great at sorting me a reliable run around car to fit Mr bump and even Capone in 🐕.
Ummm what else... no matter what I do I look puffy and I’m pretty sure this is just a thing until he comes. I didn’t train as I started work at 6.30 and finished at 2 and like I said wanted to just chill BUT I did hit 10,000 steps 💪🏽

CHOCOLATE PROTEIN PANCAKES .
Sometimes (ok, always) the only thing that will do is chocolate. And we all know that Saturdays are for stackin’ 🥞 slight variation on my usual protein pancake recipe but they turned out suuuuuper fluffy and delicious, give it a go and see for yourself! .
WHAT YOU NEED: • 25g oat flour • 15g wholemeal self raising flour • 20g @theproteinworks chocolate silk whey • 8g cacao powder • 1/2tsp baking powder • 1 egg • 50g liquid egg whites • 80g 0% Greek yogurt • 50ml almond milk. .
WHAT TO DO: whisk together your egg and egg whites, then add the Greek yogurt and mix until smooth, followed by the almond milk. Then mix in your dry ingredients until well combined. Cook in a frypan, making sure to wait for bubbles to form and pop before flipping. Stack ‘em high and top with your favourite things! .
I had mine with a generous blob of @theproteinworks smooth PB, sliced banana, blueberries, @whitworthsuk pumpkin seeds, maple syrup and some @sweetfreedomuk choc shot 🤩 .

I honestly had the best time, like I said before going, I was so anxious about the change in routine but I think I’ve managed it really well considering how past trips away have been.
6 months ago I didn’t think it would be possible to go away, be strong enough to walk around NYC without feeling like I was going to pass out and allow myself to really enjoy it.
It just goes to show that through hard work and determination, you can do anything if you really want it and put your mind to it- this could be in every aspect of life from recovery from a mental illness, careers, fitness goals and general life goals... it is possible💗

First post back after one whole month! Took a hiatus from posting due to a stressful few weeks of exams and then spent my first week of my (4 month!) holidays at work/at the gym, and not really thinking about posting to the gram📱Anywar, just wanted to share the fact that the highlight of my day today, whilst clearing out my clothes, was putting on these shorts and finding that they actually fit! At the start of the year they were so so tight and I couldn’t get in them without having to suck in heavily/feeling very uncomfortable once in them (so I never wore them), but today they fit just right! This was super uplifting to me as I currently weigh the same/if not, a lil more than I did at the start of the year but of course this means that I’ve just gained more muscle mass this year and have less body fat now! And this is why it’s so important to place less emphasis on the weighing scales when measuring any fat loss/healthy lifestyle progress, and more emphasis on how you feel about yourself physically and mentally, comparing progress pictures, and in this case, how your clothes fit! Often an increase in muscle mass, even with a decrease in fat, will still result in overall weight gain - so never let the scales discourage you! 🙅♀️⚖️ Just thought I’d share this lil milestone of mine, so thank you if you’ve read this far 😌☺️☀️

RAW PEANUT BUTTER + CACAO SLICE 🙋♀️ This was the outcome of yesterday’s baking sesh!! Such a simple recipe and minimal ingredients needed!! Recipe:
1. Blend the base ingredients (2 1/2 cups almonds, 4 tbsp rice malt syrup/maple syrup, 4 tbsp @natavasuperfoods cacao powder) and pat down 3/4 of the mix into lined tray.
2. Mix 2 tbsp melted coconut oil, 1 1/2 cups @picspeanutbutter smooth peanut butter, 2 tsp vanilla essence and pour on top of the base.
3. Sprinkle the left over base on top of the peanut butter layer and set until firm in the fridge!
P.s we are after a new blender so any recommendations would be much appreciated!! 😜
