Emprisoned in his home, this ex FARC member is left without possessions and company. Leo couldn’t remember his last interaction with another human. Remorseful and broken, Leo found solace in books and journals. In turn, for the past 8 years, he has developed an intriguing intellect and analytical world view.
Although his part in the FARC is unforgivable, Leo explained, in his limited yet colourful vocabulary, his tales and contributions as a rogue mechanic in the Colombian jungles.
His greatest wish was for me to look beyond his past and regard him with dignity as we partake in an amazing conversation.
I LOVE HOT SPRINGS. It’s one of my faaavorite parts of living in Oregon. My goal is to dip my toesies in all of them by this time next year... Heh heh, dream big, right? 🙏🙏🙏⠀
Unfortunately not all of them are as well kept as one would hope. This image is totally deceiving, our time here was definitely bittersweet. We’d just hiked over 20 miles, and we were reeeeally looking forward to an early morning soak. 💧💧💧⠀
However, we were met with vandalism and garbage in every direction. But... once you looked past the homeless guy sleeping 20 ft away, the beer cans, deserted underwear, and trash laying around, the Umpqua Hot Springs had a great view of the river!... 🙃⠀
if you happen to be visiting a hot springs (or really anywhere) please please pleeeease pick up at least one piece of trash, whether it’s yours or not. If everyone picked up just one piece it would make a huge difference ✊ let’s strive make everyone’s experiences in nature blissful. ⠀
Double tap if you’re a hot spring addict too! 😍😍😍 I just can’t get enough! ⠀
I apologize for the inactivity this last month. I haven’t been on social media due to starting a new job and then I have been super busy trying to get my new vehicle road ready. Hopefully you guys all understand, here’s a shot I got back when I was staying in Durango, Co. Enjoy 🌌
