Quando eu penso que a Garmin já tem os melhores Smart’s do mundo, ela lança mais um, mais dois e mais três. O céu é o limite pra Garmin. Oh how it felt amazing to run this morning! And with no pressure!! Just a leisurely pace with friends chatting away.
I truly love training. It keeps me on track. I'm very goal oriented. I need something to work toward. Something that gives me a sense of purpose – a goal that pushes me and keep me going everyday. But I also love the freeing feeling of this morning of not pushing the pace or going for X number of miles.
Is there a middle ground? I don't know. I always strive to be my best. Thinking about a race – it seems impossible for me to take it easy. The pressure from others to do well because they know I'm driven, I've put in the work, I can push myself, and I'm capable, but also the expectation from myself to do my best every single day. That's how I live my life. I don't want to half ass it. I want to know that I did my best.
But I'm going to try it. I'm eyeing a half at the end of June that I'm going to try and run for pure fun, mostly because it's likely going to be very hot, and I don't like heat. But it's a start, right?
As for now, I'm going to enjoy all these slow recovery miles until my next race in two weeks!
6 early morning miles in the running bank. We have reached the time of year where you have to run early because it is hot! Today my run felt wonderful. I have found that slowing down and taking it easy works best for me in the heat. For the next few months I will probably go a lot slower but I am okay with that because I know come fall I will reap the benefits of summer running. [ FOOTING ] bref je suis allée courir ce matin, malgré ma blessure, et malgré ma sinusite rhinite allergique , je suis têtue 😂 alors oui je sais c’est pas bien , mais j’avais envie de courir, j’ai mon écho à faire le 29 mai, et des séances de Kine de prévu, ma douleur je l’a sent en courant et en marchant pas cool quoi, ça me fatigue tout ça, avec les séances de Kine ça va le faire et pouvoir courir ma course en juin sans ressentir la douleur 🤞🏻je l’espère !
