Had such an exciting parcel this week from the fab Matt @modernvegplot who had kindly organised #seedswap2k18 😍 there are over 40 varieties of flowers and veg here and I cannot thank everyone involved enough! 🙌 It has been great finding out what everyone was submitting and now the seeds are here ready for #allotavegyear2!
With 5 squash varieties🎃, 4 types of bean, 3 cucumber, 4 chillis🌶, melon, tomato🍅, broccoli🥦, herbs☘, flowers💐 (and some kind of horseradish type thing @sarah.is.special 🤣), I won't have enough room for everything! 😢
No allotment visit for me this weekend but instead I'm going to read up on the veggies and plot them on my spreadsheet 😎🤓 #thingsineverthoughtidsay#gardeninggeek#allotment#allotmentlove#allotmentlife#allotaveg
So aside from from my family and clothes, fabric and all things crafty, my main obsession is gardening and house plants and yesterday, for the first time in about a year I found time to spend 45mins in my neglected garden! To see these beauties shining through the brown of winter and getting my hands dirty lifted me like you wouldn't believe! To have a hobby like this and to make time for it is one of the healthiest things you can do for your mind, body and soul. Theres just something about natural beauty isn't there! Who's with me?
Eeeep! That time of year when I get all giddy! Putting in my 2019 seed order and planning my garden 🤓😻 .
If you're in Morden/Winkler area I'll be selling more heirloom heritage tomato and pepper plants this year - check out the Facebook Group GLORY GARDENERS for pre-sale! Last year I planted nearly 500 plants and sold out before May!!
