as I grow older, I realize with
a thumping, drowning pang
that the most worthwhile things in life
are the still, the small, the understated—
where little confusion is entangled
in the seams of any object
and no question can be given
to the value of a person to another,
hardship is already stated, you see,
the effort to navigate the dusty path,
to keep the bearing from slipping,
to find peace in the monotonous onward—
that in and of itself,
is enough to keep us filled with
the boundless trials of learning to love
with steady boundaries
but all the proper room for growth.

"Beta, can you edit this picture of my daughter to make her look fairer for the matrimonial site... "
" But that's just black and white"
" Well that's how you see the world Aunty... "
In Working Color
While walking around Soho house I was very happy to have stumbled upon this moment.
Something about the greyish blueish tones of the man’s suit matching the columns, while the extraordinarily colorful background seems to go unnoticed.
The routine office phonecall highlighted by a rainbow of doors, like being caught inside a surreal game-show. Also it was nice to find a less explored angle in a very famous and over-photographed location.
